Was fallout 3 Free with fallout 4? I totally forgot about that! If so I'm definitely going to try it. I just have to find the game box and hope the download code is still there.

Unless I'm crazy and just dreamed it came with the game.

Playing Nioh right now which feels like a decent balance. Its psuedo open world, but still effectively has missions that are set in specific levels. Final Fantasy XV was close to being too open for me but was pretty good at reeling you in for the main questline.

The biggest problem with open world games is there are far too many time suck quests that require you to go fetch something, go deliver something, or escort someone. These mostly add zero value to the game after you have done a handful of them.

Holding off on Horizon Zero Dawn for now. May get it later.

Fallout 3 was free with Fallout 4.

I don't get to game as much as I used to... actually the only thing I've done since buying Fallout 4 is play Fallout 3 haha.

However, I seem to remember there being some sort of deadline for downloading the digital version of Fallout 3 that was given with 4. I hope that that is not the case and you get to try 3 out, it's awesome! I haven't even gotten to 4 yet.

Even if not, surely you could get Fallout 3 used for just a few bucks.

I loved Fallout 3 and its predecessors, but the introduction of building/crafting in 4 pretty much ruined the experience for me. It just added another time-suck to an already super-lengthy game.

Yes! So tired of minigames. Never really liked them in the first place, to be honest. I don't buy fallout to play some cheap SimCity. I buy it to explore and shoot people in the face.

Can't stand all the inventory management, either.

I really liked Assasin's Creed black flag.

It wasn't totally open world, but pretty accessible, and lots of things to do. The mix between sailing and exploring towns kept it fresh.

Also, the story line of the game was pretty well written. Kind of a criticism against the tyranny of greed, fitting right into the pirate theme.

Also, not too grindy. you do get to increase the value of your ship to take on bigger ships, but not too long.

I read that the new Assassin's Creed game is being worked on by the Black Flag team, and the the map will be 3x bigger than Black Flag. - found it http://wccftech.com/assassins-creed-empire-map-three-times-bigger-black-flag-development-handled-ubisoft-montreal-rumor/

Yea loved Fable 2, Fable 3 was a bit disappointing.
Assassin's Creed Black Flag was freaking awesome, I did really dig that game. I dont know how thd Diablo series fits in, but that was usually fun. They didn't feel like I had to commit hours a day to them. I could play for an hour and make good progress.

Couldnt really get into the Elder Scrolls games. Tried Morrowind and Oblivion, and both were fun, but felt kida lost at the same time with abundance of side missions. Oblivion definitely felt at bit overwhelming and time consuming. That's just me.

I've tried MMOs like DC Universe, Star Trek Online, Eve, but those felt like i had to play them for hours just to get anything done.

I think I prefer open space games, like X3 or Freelancer. I love to play games like World of Tanks or War Thunder. They're just fun to play and I can easily do it in an hour.
