I have a work laptop that requires admin password approval for downloading any non-work drivers/software. Typical, and a welcome security measure.

Problem: I need to add an external laptop screen for when I travel away from my beloved double screen desk. However, most 2nd screens like to require a driver download. Any workaround for this? I was looking at this screen option:

Getting admin clearance for third party drivers isn't possible.

Thoughts? Solutions? Workarounds?

Ask work to buy you the monitor.

Is there an adapter where I can take USB 3.0 that comes with the screen and make it work with the HDMI port on my laptop? A workaround that would help me avoid downloading the drivers that are needed.
