The old laptop thread got me thinking, a lot of us probably have a few old computers or parts in a box somewhere at home or work. So what've you got lying around?

Nothing too special here...
2002 G4 and 1997 G3 PowerMacs
PC I built in late 2002 with some kind of Athlon
Mac 512Ke with 40-50 games disks (400-800K)
2 or 3 shoeboxes of Apple ][ games
A couple of external 20MB SCSI hard drives
Apple Workgroup Server 95 PDS card (should have kept the Quadra 950 it was in for case mods)

I worked for somebody with a magnetic memory core that he made long ago on the wall in his office. It looked like this.

Though not the oldest things I own this is what I have with me at work.

Old IBM thinkpad and one of my first cell phones.

The laptop powers on but doesn't boot, the phone still powers on but has long been deactivated.

My HP 28S is still working strong. RPN rules

At least that phone might do something if you put a SIM in it. My first mobile still charges and searches for signal but since it's analog that's probably about it.

Game Boy with Tetris, still works too

Not really tech per se, but vintage:

Yamaha EX5 Rack mount synth
Roland JV-1080 Rack synth

Still want: Roland V Synth and JP8000 as well as Korg Triton and Trinity

HP 41CX. It gets used almost every day. I have a stat pack, math pack and circuits I pack in 3 of the 4 slots.
Mac SE30. Boots and runs fine.

Dell dimension running XP controlling some cnc equipment. It's a tank.

Do you still need a replacement touch screen, Sitting a box on the desk here. You need to wash all the cutting oil out of that thing.

I've got a new/never used Nikon FE SLR body...over 30 years old. I figure in another 20 or so it'll be worth something.

Oldest tech I still have around the house is a late 2012 MacBook Pro retina.. I don't keep stuff for some reason

I have some late 90s Dells still running Windows 95 in a lab. One day they'll die.

Still have some 486 processors and 30pin SIMs. Nikon F I inherited from my uncle. NES 8-bit with the box. A bunch old crap actually.

Right before Christmas I was at my parents house looking for some stuff in the garage and I ran across my dad's old Osborne Computer. For those too young to know, it is considered the first portable computer. Assuming you consider a suitcase full of bricks portable.

I've lost my ZX81, but I still have its 16k RAM module and a few games on cassette.

Ok that's kind of cool.

If we're going with game systems I have one of everything going back to one that plays Pong. I used to hit up a lot of garage sales way back when and bought a bunch of games and whatnot for maybe 25 cents each.

I keep this on my desk at work. My wife's grandfather was an engineer too, and after he passed away, my father-in-law found it in his office and gave it to me.

I have an old Pentium 3 slot 1 processor. I also have a couple of Sidewinder Pros that still work. I'm still waiting on my Descent Kickstarter to come in to use them.

and somewhere some Early 286, 386 CPUs and my oooooold Tandy PocketPC.

I have a couple of atari 5200s, one a 2 controller and one a 4 controller. Neither work. Both will boot and show the atari logo, one of them will show the splash screen for whatever cartridge is loaded.

Some day I'll find someone that can service them, or at least attempt to with an educated electronics guess.

I had my original in a box for years and told my parents "don't throw this away - once I settle into a house and i'm not apartment hopping I'll grab the box." They threw it away about 3 months before I got a home. Still pisses me off, it wasn't taking up any space they needed.

I have an original Sega Genesis that still works and gets used pretty often. Also have several older laptops dating back to 1999 or so, plus a couple of MacMinis. My DSLR is a 2006 Olympus E500, which still takes great pictures.

But the pride and joy of my old device collection is a NIB US Robotics Palm Pilot. I also have a 3Com Palm Pilot, a Palm Pilot V, a Palm Pilot Tungsten T, a Treo 650, a Centro, and a first gen Pre.
