Why didn't he go to a D1 Uni?

Character?

Just because?

Was he from Colorado City or Bangs? If he is the one from Bangs, I thought he went to Baylor.

He went to Lane College, a D2 School... this much I know...

I want to know WHY, because it appears that he is a badass on the field that should have been at some D1 Uni.

He was 5-7, 165 when he graduated from high school. He had a late growth spurt and is now 6-2, 210.

Dammit... I heard this today on some hubba hubba talk sports talk show, but didn't realize it was about Jones. Thanks for the info.

He was 1st team all conference at 3 diff. positions...WR, PR, and KR. Pretty easy to see why.

He was the ultimate sleeper in this years draft. Many predicted him to be the next Marques Colston. So far, he's looking like he's going to match those expectations...

If Jones is half as good of a receiver as he is a KR/PR the Texans are in for a treat.

this guy is unreal. smak aside, the texans have Jones now along with Johnson. you put that next to a consistent guy like Schaub then all you really need is a solid RB with a couple of reliable O-linemen.....and you've got yourself a playoff calibur offense.

but jones.....as wrestling announcer jim ross says "Good Gawd!!"

It's just another example of why WR can be such a bust in drafts. You can find good WRs in any round. I think I read somewhere that WR is second only behind QB in the number of 1st round busts.

As stated, he was little coming out of high school, but hit a growth spurt.
