If the Los Angles Rams hang on for the win, the San Francisco 49ers will be the only road team to win in the Wild Card Round. That means the Arizona Cardinals will lose 5 of their last 6 games after a 10-2 start. Their only win in that span was a 25-22 win at the Dallas Cowboys on 1/2.

After the 49ers defeated the Los Angeles Rams 27-24 in overtime on the road 8 days ago, the Arizona Cardinals had another opportunity to win the NFC West. Instead, the Cardinals lost to the then 7-9 Seattle Seahawks 38-30 at home and handed the Rams the NFC West division. Go 49ers!

Phoenix is located in south central Arizona, so cardinal sightings here are rare. It is interesting to note that cardinals have been introduced into southern California and Hawaii. They do not migrate and are year round residents wherever they live.

Worst team name since the Lakers

Doing some work so the tv was muted - did the broadcast give any additional info? That looks really bad, landed on the top of his head and it bent his neck at a bad angle. Oof. Hope he's okay.

Cam Akers recovery and return so quickly is incredible. I don't think there has ever been a RB to return to play following an Achilles rupture but I could be wrong.

6 wildcard games

2 competitive, 4 total obliterations.

Still, next week sounds phenomenal
Bengals @ Titans
Bills @ Chiefs
49ers @ Packers (meh)
Rams @ Bucs

With the Los Angles Rams' 34-11 rout of the Arizona Cardinals, Matthew Stafford gets his first career playoff win. When Stafford was with the Detroit Lions, he was 0-3 in the playoffs with loses to the New Orleans Saints in 2011, the Dallas Cowboys in 2014, and the Seattle Seahawks in 2016. Of course, all 3 of those playoff games were on the road because Stafford never led the Lions to an NFC North division title. After a 10-2 start, the Arizona Cardinals have lost 5 of their last 6 games.

The San Francisco 49ers were the only road team to win in the Wild Card Round. I would like the 49ers to beat a well-rested Green Bay Packers team at Lambeau Field, but it will be a very tough playoff game. As a realistic 49ers fan, I am not expecting the 49ers to win. If the 49ers manage to pull off another road playoff win over the Packers, I will be ecstatic.
