Article here https://sports.yahoo.com/chiefs-transparency-critical-in-figuring-out-britt-reids-culpability-in-serious-accident-024010403.html

Very sad story and every fathers nightmare....apparently Britt Reid (Andy Reid's son and outside linebackers coach for KC) was driving under the influence and caused an accident injuring two young children, one apparently is critical with life threatening injuries

Check article out for more info goes into detail about how many issues this can/will cause for KC with the super bowl around the corner.....of course the biggest focus right now should be praying for those 2 kids and their families that they are able to pull through and are blessed with the strength to do it

he needs to be fired. This is not his first major incident.

and a great example of why organizations are fearful about giving "second chances"

Pretty sure any successful coach at that level doesn't have much time to be a good dad or husband.

Any job where you work 80 hour weeks in a high-pressure environment is going to make it tough to
be a great dad, and coaching football is one of those jobs. Don't think that's a new or crazy notion.

Yes tough but that's WAY different than saying any successful NLF coach doesn't have the time to be a great dad.

Also...You can be a stay at home dad and spend every waking hour with your kids and they can still F up and make bad decisions.

Sure, and you can be raised by a single mom and turn out to be an amazing human...but his comment was that a successful NFL coach doesn't have much time to be a good dad, and I agree.

Whether NFL coaches make good fathers is an erroneous tangent. Britt Reid is 35 years old. He is responsible and accountable for his actions no matter what parenting he got. A grown ass man has no excuse to drive drunk.

half of Texags is "erroneous tangents". No doubt one topic is more important than the other, but we can talk about both.

In 2007, Britt was sentenced to 8 to 23 months in jail alongside his brother Garrett for running a "drug emporium" from their home.[5]

Reid was involved in a road rage incident in 2007 where he pointed a gun at another man's face. A lawsuit was eventually settled out of court for an undisclosed sum in 2014.[6]

Yikes. This guy doesn't need to see the outside of a jail cell for a few decades.

New ESPN article this morning says the girl is now awake. Also says Britt is no longer with the team after his contract ran out and was not renewed.
