Sean Payton isnt accepting that job, especially how Bill Parcels left the Cowboys. Parcels was his mentor.

Payton and the Jones family are reportedly friends. However you do not just buy out a coach. You have to give up draft picks as well. Do not think Dallas will want to lose a couple of first rounders, especially with Jerry at the ripe old age of 77.
I would be good with McCarthy. Has won in the playoffs.
McCarthy has had similar success to Payton.
He has won it all once. A bunch division titles. Yes, a lot like Payton.

mccarthy is a bottom half of the league coach without rodgers. BoB of the north.
If you guys think Mike McCarthy would be a meh hire, you're nuts. That's as good of a hire as you can hope for as a Dallas fan...outside of maybe Sean or Bill. But I'd argue that even those guys are only a marginally better hire.
Heard a comment yesterday (Steve Young maybe) that made sense. Players need authority in the locker room. Jerry keeps the authority in the owners box. Until that changes, it will be the same old same old...

He should hire Romo. I don't know what kind of coach he'd make, but he could hire him as DC assistant or something. I can't watch a game with him commentating, cuz he tells you EXACTLY what the offensive play is before they run it.
