But, he was awful last night. Was reading in the FWST today that they purposely put Booger McFarland on the field so as not to over shadow Witten in the booth. Do you think that having McFarland in the booth would have taken the pressure off Witten?

Booger McFarland is a big part of the problem

YOu can't have 2 color commentators, they end up just blocking each other.

They did the same thing with Moose & Goose. Booger is Witten's training wheels.

Witten has improved throughout the season.

The thing that annoys me the most during the broadcast is Booger & Witten saying Test 100 times a game.

and "aggressive"

the problem with Booger...he sounds like a preacher. Feels like he's preaching to the audience.

I don't think they'll give up on Witten after one season. He does need a new tailor. Get a suit that is comfortable to work in. Not 3 sizes too small

Before pulling the plug, I'd give Witten a year on his own with the PBP guy. Booger and Witten seem like they are having a talking contest to see who can say the most words. It's terrible. But I'd be curious what a year of experience and not having to go back-and-forth with Booger would sound like. I don't think that will be very good either, but it will be far better than what they are doing now. And who knows, by then maybe he's getting better.

As a football color guy, Witten is better than Romo. At least his voice is better. His problem is he wants to tell his story and they let him. Stick to commmenting on the game.

Tessitore's pbp style fits much better when he's doing college games.

really makes me wonder why ESPN thought it was such a great idea to throw him in the deep end of the pool like that when he clearly isnt as polished as some of the other athletes that do CC. why not start him on one of the talking head shows, rather than the fire of MNF? get used to being on camera first and learn how to give some level of "analysis". Like Booger is a way.

Tessitore is fine but i didnt have a problem with McDonough either. Agreed that hes a better College PBP guy.

Exactly. MNF in the booth shouldn't be an entry level announcing job. Test him out somewhere else or put him in studio for a bit.

If you want them off of college ball this could happen. I'd rather have them on Gameday and calling a great college game. They can't do both. Too much prep time involved.

Been some good games and time is same as always (feels about 10 mins earlier this year).

Someone needs to apologize to Witten for when he was excoriated in the media for proclaiming the Amari Cooper trade would be good for Dallas.

Witten is a traitor for screwing the Cowboys. I hope his ass gets fired from MNF. Dude is terrible. Yeah I said it.

I have never heard a worse team than Tessitore, Booger and Witten.

Booger was better than Witten.

Fingers crossed. They're each horrible in their own right. Somebody at ESPN really screwed the pooch with this grouping.
