How many coaches have been fired after a season in which they made the playoffs and won a playoff game? I'm guessing not many. I'm not sure if Mularkey is a great coach but the timing of this is terrible.

I posted on another thread about this. We are dealing with the Adams family here.

He needed to go.

Was smart move to not let one game save his job.

They seem to be a team that is lacking in offensive identity. They are built to be a power run team with a great offensive line and Murray/Henry combo but they have Mariota at QB who is better in the run-pass option. Just seemed like they were trying to do both with little result either way. Guessing Mularkey wanted to keep running the ball first and the rest of the organization wants Mariota doing more.

Wasnt this their first time to make the playoffs in about 10 years?
They made a horrible hire in Munchak and whisenhunt was awful.

some crazy irony here...

we're ripping on the Adams family...

while the Texans gave an extension to a coach that just went 4-12.

an old expression about truth, fiction, and being stranger...comes to mind
