I just posted this in the Cowboys thread... I love the fact the Giants did this. Their O-line is still not good and Eli has been average at best as he enters the later years of his career. Another WR does not fix this team's problems!

It definitely helps. The Giants struggled in the redzone last year. They were able to drive down the field but could not score when in the redzone. Marshall helps this.

Now they can easily sign a few OL during the offseason or draft some as well.

Not a Giants fan by any means but this is definitely not a bad move for them at all and they have time to work on the OL to see if they can protect Eli better.

That Marshall deal is cheap. He must have wanted to stay in New York, because I suspect he would have gotten offers closer to 10 mill.

Desean will be the big play down field threat while Mike continues to be the #1 WR and red zone threat.

If anything I think it opens things up a bit for Mike.

Browns are going to cut him too according to ESPN.

They only made the trade to get the 2nd rounder from Houston in order to trade one of their 1st rounders and the 2nd rounder to New England for Garropolo

Yeah, I had my eye on him for Dallas's #2 WR spot. But I figured he would go in the first few days and get more money than Dallas was willing/able to pay.

I was impressed with him when Dallas played the Browns this year. He's still a bit raw and not ready to be a #1 guy, but could have been scary good in an offense like Dallas.

Yeah, he's still growing in the position...and brings all sorts of options on the offensive end...wildcat formations, etc.
