$31 / hr is about $65K without overtime
$50 / hr is about $104K without overtime.

Some plants are moving towards requiring the Process Technology degree / certificate. It's a two year associates I believe. Most plants will want some type of industrial / plant experience. They do take a lot of prior military as well.water turkey said:

I already interviewed for the job. Currently work at a major oil refinery but the morale and management is garbage. People trying to bail as quick as possible. Been where I'm at for 8 years. Work DuPont schedule, but we're all working 1K plus hours of overtime. No life outside of work. Granted, paid very very well, but we're all tired of living at work.
Interview went well. Got my answers. Hopefully hear something later this week. Way less overtime and able to actually plan stuff with my family. And most of the mini units are inside so no more weather swinging the hell out of my units when it rains or temperatures drop.
Also had no experience prior, straight from the military.
