TDub5, I generally agree with you. The applicant you describe wouldn't be offered at $75k. The title and compensation would be commensurate with their specific qualifications.

Not all qualified candidates graduate from TAMU, head off to a large public accounting firm for their rookie stint, and then jump to private industry for six-figures though. We appreciate talking with those candidates, but there are good professionals that graduate from say Sam Houston, Texas State, and UTSA, too. I realize they're likely not on this board, but someone they know with eyes toward B/CS may be.

An Aggie hire would be great. But we consider all comers.
