I am currently unemployed due to COVID and need some advice on how to approach this situation.
I have been interviewing with Company A for a little over a month now, and they have taken their sweet time on the interview process. I was contacted by the recruiter I have been working with today who said they are down to me and another person and she thinks they will have a decision made tomorrow.
I did a phone interview with Company B today that went really well, and they invited me to come meet with a director and see the campus on Wednesday. They seemed to really like me and to be impressed with my qualifications.
My question is if company A does call me tomorrow and offer me the job, what is the best way to handle that if I want to go on Wednesday and see if that company will make an offer?
Company A is a good opportunity, but it's a 6 month contract with no guarantee to extend. Company B would be a full time position at a good company, and I think the position would overall be a better fit. Obviously I'm unemployed so I don't want to get greedy/picky and turn down something on the hopes of something else though.
Just looking for some advice on the situation. Nothing is set in stone yet. Company A may not choose me so it could be a moot point, but I want to be prepared and know my options.
