Howdy Ags! Anchor Foundation Repair is looking to hire a full-time Content Writer/Creator. Please see the job description below, and spread the word if you know someone who is looking for a job.

Job Title: Content Writer

Reports to: CEO/President, Anchor Foundation Repair

Position Summary: We are looking for an amazing, inbound marketer to own the written content marketing for our company. You will be in charge of attracting site traffic thru written blog articles that convert traffic into new leads and nurture those leads into informed clients. You will work in conjunction with company leadership and our digital marketer and videographer to ensure the marketing message is consistent, multifaceted, and coordinated across several platforms.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop a written content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to plan and develop site content, style and layout
  • Create and publish a variety of engaging content
  • Optimize content according to SEO
  • Use content management systems to analyze website traffic and users engagement metrics
  • Use EngageBay CRM to generate traffic, convert visitors into leads, and then nurture them (using dynamic workflows) into converted customers
  • Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic
  • Develop an editorial calendar
  • Ensure compliance with the law (e.g. copyright and data protection)
  • Stay up-to-date with developments and generate new ideas to draw the audience's attention

Success Criteria:
  • Produce up to 3 articles per week
  • An increase in defined customer engagement metrics
  • Website and social media traffic growth
  • Increases in key search engine keyword rankings
  • Increase in conversion metrics

Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in Journalism, Marketing, English, or Communications field
  • Has 2+ years of writing, reporting, or interviewing experience
  • Understands the value of content marketing
  • Is detailed oriented and organized
  • Is an excellent communicator -- written, verbal, visual
  • Has interview skills and is a curious and thoughtful listener
  • Understands how to use data to inform all strategic decisions
  • Operates well with giving and receiving feedback
  • Has a team mentality
  • Local hire preferred, but not required

Nice-to-have, but not required:
  • Experienced CRM user, proficient in marketing automation and blogging software features
  • Has experience with programs such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMRush

Bonus skills:
  • HTML/CSS, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required

Salary: Starting at $36k.

    2 years out of school for a journalism, communications or english degree. I'm not here to judge, but maybe not that far off. Lots of people looking to get their start in the business world - have to start somewhere. Didn't say they had to be an Aggie.

    Very interesting position, I may have to steal some of this for our company when it's time to make a hire like this.

    Borrow away, when you're ready to take on the hire... that's what I did!

    In the meantime, make sure you spread the word. I think its a great opportunity to get exposed to training (part of the journey for us has been hiring a content coach) and opportunity in the content creation world that can then be used to transition to bigger and better ventures in life if desired.

    If you don't have any luck finding a candidate, and want to outsource, my brother-in-law has a company that does this as well as SEO, website management, etc.

    So you want someone to basically develop your whole online presence, write articles, and help with closing sales? While your basic metric for success will be sales generation?

    And this will be for 36k a year?
    You need a full marketing manager and SEO/online media strategy consultant first. Get those recommendations off the ground and then use Craigslist to find copywriters at like 40 cents a word.

    - We, and our Video guy could probably get most of this done this for ~$39 to $49 a year, & probably before Christmas.

    No Payroll Tax, Don't have to take office space , Won't have to ever fire us, and will probably have a few spelling errors. But we could get it done by Christmas
