I have held several different titles since i entered the oil and gas accounting genre in 1987. My expertise is joint interest accounting, accounts payable administration and cost analysis. You sound like a great candidate for one of the outsourced accounting firms that specialize in O&G. EEPB in Houston has a big practice in that area, so does Opportune, as does a firm in Dallas whose name escapes me but I'll think of it and edit this thread. I would assume you could work in both roles remotely. Now I have no idea but I'd assume their businesses have taken a hit too, so they may not be hiring either but worth a shot and a cool opportunity to pass on what you've learned to a new generation of accountants in a mentor role.
