Texas A&M University is inviting students, faculty, and the community to experience the university's first autonomous shuttle. The 3-month demonstration project will begin in mid-August and operate on a fixed route near the Southside parking garage. Rides on the shuttle will be free and open to the public. Periodically during the three months, static demonstrations will be held at sites such as the Zachry Engineering Complex, the Bush School and Kyle Field. The goal is to give the Aggie community a chance to experience autonomous vehicle technology first-hand to inspire innovation across various disciplines.
