Job Description: AGP is searching for a part-time employee to deliver test prep instruction (classes and private coaching), specifically in the area of Math. This individual must have an enthusiastic and fervent attitude to improve the college preparation efforts of high school-aged youth. Also, they must possess excellent communication skills and prior tutoring experience. Previous class or small group instruction is preferred.
The individual will receive the proper training for instruction, but it is expected to have a natural disposition for testing. Once trained, the workload can ebb and flow depending on the time of the year but can expect 6 - 10 hours during slow months, and as much as 10 - 15 hours during our peak months. The bulk of the work hours are conducted during the evenings and weekends. Outside of classroom instruction, the individual will conduct private tutoring upon request. This person may be asked to help along with community outreach efforts (college fairs, high school visits, etc.), and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. The candidate has a strong disposition for testing well in your assigned area(s) and will take a test as a part of the interviewing process.
Job Type: Part-time
Hourly Wage: $20.00 to $22.50/hour
Training Wage: $10.00/hour
