Short summary: I'm an attorney that's practiced law for about 9 years in a pretty technical area of the law. I've built a successful practice over the last several years from scratch, but the short of it is I just don't want to practice law for the rest of my life. I believe I could do really well in a business development/sales role in another area, largely because I really enjoy that aspect of my business and have successfully grown my practice from its inception doing just that. There are so many lawyers that want to get out of the profession, but many feel trapped and just keep sticking it out. I don't want that to be me.
I've thought about this for a few years now, and have really honed in on this being the profession I'd love to transition into. Any thoughts, insight, advice, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
