Are you a graduate student who is having difficulty making desired progress on your thesis or dissertation? Do you find yourself procrastinating or avoiding working on your research? Have you had problems working with your advisor? A solution to your problems could be just a phone call away!

The Thesis/Dissertation Support Group is a group specifically designed for graduate students struggling with the process of writing a thesis or dissertation. Group topics often include issues of competence, personal insecurities, self-doubt, excessive stress, procrastination, anxiety, goal setting, departmental politics, bureaucratic struggles, and conflicts with advisors.

For over twenty-eight years, this group has been assisting graduate students in clearing that final hurdle to graduate. This group was the longest continuously running and most successful group in the history of the TAMU counseling center and is now meeting off-campus. The group has assisted hundreds of graduate students through to graduation from the university. Participating in the group can offer an additional source of accountability and structure as students navigate the later stages of their programs. Why continue to struggle alone when help is right around the corner?

There are two editions of the group currently offered. The groups meet on Tuesday or Thursday evenings from 5:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M.

If interested reply to this message and Ill send you details on how to get involved,
