Long shot here, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

My son applied for fall 2021, but looking at the admissions portal, he saw that his application has been rejected as incomplete because he hadn't submitted his Self Reported Student Academic Record directly.

I guess what I'm looking to find out is if there is an appeals process to have his application reconsidered or someone he could talk to to see what other options he might consider.

We know it's late in the game, since he's already heard back/ hearing back from other schools, so we know the process is well under way or complete.

Thanks I'm advance for any guidance.

The deadline for getting SRAR linked to his application was December 21. Admissions puts a lot of details on the Applicant Information System (AIS) page regarding SRAR as well as discussed in any emails/letter that would have been sent with his UIN shortly after he applied. There are a lot of details regarding SRAR on our web page as well. Documents started being accepted last August 1. The deadline for appeals has now passed as well.

He can call an admissions counselor at 979-458-0950 to discuss future options.

Pretty much what we told him. Thank you.

Can I ask where the admissions process is at this point in time? My daughter is Auto-Admit, but we are waiting to hear on her best friend. We have heard things all over the board - non Auto's who got accepted early, you are done with acceptances until you find out who won't be coming, etc, etc.
Just looking for some idea on the process for someone who will be a "Holistic" candidate.

For domestic freshmen applicants, Top 10 applicants in Texas with a complete file in our office often hear a decision within a few weeks with first letters going out around late September. Since applicants had until December 15 to apply and December 21 to be sure the supporting documents are in our office, it was not until after that did we know how competitive the pool is for Review Admits. As a result, Review Admits may have heard a decision anytime although after January 1 was more likely. Hopefully Review Admit decisions will be completed by late March.

For TAMUAdmissions: Does the late March deadline apply to engineering applicants who did the priority admission deadline but are still in review as of 2/8/21? Earlier on AIS it said that decisions would come at the end of January. TIA!

Engineering applicants in review should hear sooner than the end of March for others in review. Engineering decisions are ongoing and are released as those decisions are made.
