Why in the world we are admitting enough students to have 71,000? If it's a question of top ten percent rule and our student body is getting this large we need to ask for an exemption like the sips.

The 71k isnt just TAMU main campus. It includes med school, law school, dental school, galveston, McAllen, and qatar. 15,000 of the total students are grad and professional students. 65,000 students on College Station campus, which is consistent with the past few years enrollment on the CS campus. The numbers always just look bigger and bigger as we acquire and grow the professional programs.


There are just over 56k undergraduate students.

Based on past experience A&M can usually predict the percentage of offers that will accept. I believe that A&M had a higher percentage of students accept offers this cycle than they normally do because of the Covid and economic shut down. Students that may have otherwise travel out of state or go to a more expensive private school room the offer.
