Changing major prior to enrollment?

Daughter of a friend has been accepted for Fall in engineering. She now has greater interest in a life sciences major. Does she have any option other than to enroll in engineering and change major later?

She can check her AIS page to see if the change of major link is still active for her.

Thanks. Is this essentially a reapplication? Would she forfeit her acceptance to A&M in the original department?

It is not a reapplication. But departments fill up so she needs to be sure that changing is what she wants to do. There is no guarantee she could later get back into the previous department.
