A minimum of one year of foreign language is required for all baccalaureate degree programs at Texas A&M. For many programs, this degree requirement can be satisfied by the satisfactory completion of two units of the same foreign language at the high school level or one year of the same language at the college level.
American Sign Language (ASL) may be used to fulfill the foreign language degree requirement unless otherwise specified by the student's college or department. Students may either transfer ASL credits or arrange to be tested at another institution. (Texas A&M does not offer courses in ASL.)
