So I'm a professional in my career, travel a good bit of my time and thus, can't take many on campus classes.

I have about half my credits (60), wanna finish up with a university studies degree from May's business school and spread my focal around - Business Mgt, Finance, IT -

My question - to finish up my degree, how many classes would be required on campus vs allowed to be taken online? Trying to decide whether to come back to A&M or transfer to another more online friendly school.

Of course I can probably make a summer Mini semester work for a short duration to accommodate the on campus classes potentially.

Anyone else finish up a degree with online classes only?

Thanks Ags!

Almost all of what A&M offers online is for graduate school. https://student-rules.tamu.edu/rule14/ gives details on various rules. Note rule 14.20 A minimum of 36 hours of 300-and/or 400-level course work must be successfully completed in residence at Texas A&M University to obtain a baccalaureate degree.

If I complete the 36 hours on campus or transfer hours, can the rest be done with online classes?

Almost all of what A&M offers online is for graduate school. You can see the degrees A&M offers online at https://distance.tamu.edu/Current-Students/Distance-Degrees

Remember that a minimum of 36 hours of your upper level classes must be completed in residence at A&M.

How classes transfer to A&M from other schools can be seen at https://compassxe-ssb.tamu.edu/HCA/ssb/transferCourseEquivalency/#!/

You had mentioned Mays Business School. https://student-rules.tamu.edu/rule09/ has additional applicable information such as "Acceptance of transfer credit for courses in agriculture and business administration will generally be limited to those courses taught in the freshman and sophomore years at this institution."

I encourage you to call an admissions counselor at 979-458-0950.

Yeah, figured this hadn't changed, OP. This policy has been around a long time.
Helps keep the A&M degree valuable. Why not take a sabbatical and finish your schooling in College Station?

Let me ask it in another way -

If I have a college station address, can I take all my classes online? Or must a certain number of classes be taken face to face in a classroom?

What qualifies as 'in residence'?

In residence means you are sitting in a classroom in College Station. And that means at least 36 hours attending school in College Station.

Also remember the comment from above. Almost all of what A&M offers online is for graduate school. You can see the degrees A&M offers online at https://distance.tamu.edu/Current-Students/Distance-Degrees
