From TexAgs Sponsor, MacResource Computers:

If so, what kind was it? If not, what did you use?

I recently saw my Mac Plus on display at the Smithsonian. The sign said it was $2400. I'm pretty sure I paid $2200 with the student discount. I got through undergraduate electrical engineering with an HP 12-C calculator, a used Smith-Corona and several gallons of whiteout.

I had a Mac something or other that I paid $1600 for. I realized later that I could've had a PC for every year at a and m for what I paid for it. Irregardless, it served me well and I was able to start on my texags habit during classes.

Sure. I used an Amdahl mainframe located in the computer center. IBM punch cards. Shortest line for the punch card reader was down at Zachary basement. Every center had a geek behind the counter to give you a pre-punched RUN and END card, usually after your program failed to work the first time. WATFOR/WHATFIV FORTRAN.

Same here, except I was in the one under the Academic Building. I was class of '82 and we were there when they went from punch cards to Wylbur terminals. I preferred the cards because they didn't eat up computer time/money.
