My brother has been interested in going into financial planning, and he noticed that A&M has a CFP program with courses offered online. He has his own business right now, so he can't really do face-to-face classes. Based on what he's seen, it seems like it would be good for him.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Is it a good program? Well regarded in the industry? Do people who aren't already involved in it get placed? Any anecdotal evidence?

Thanks!

Definitely an up and coming program. I know the Director and know that he is extremely passionate about improving the program and helping students find jobs in the field. That said, Texas Tech is by far the standard in the state, though I don't know if they offer an online program. I went through the CFP program in Austin (t.u.) because they took the GI Bill and they also offered classes at night, which made it more feasible with my day job.

I'd like to hear of anyone's experiences with the program at A&M also.
