Kayleigh McEnany, when bragging about the Republican 2028 POTUS bench strength teased Don Jr may run.

She let the tease out there and didn't take it back and she is not one just make stuff up.

I always thought Eric or Lara could be a potential in 2028 or later.

Could Don Jr make a viable candidate? Will people have had enough Trump winning by then?

I have to admit, I would moderately okay if Lara made a run. The boys should do it down the road if they have an interest.

I like Rubio/Desantis.

But that is too Florida heavy to be a good idea.

Pass. Might be his time in several years just not now.

Of course, The Hubs and I both said in 2000, W was not ready. So WTH do we know?

No, we do not need to do political dynasties.

Just remember how much people blew a fuse when Jeb Bush ran for President. One of the biggest reasons people didn't want him was his father and brother had been President.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

We have way too many good candidates available to us right now to want to run somebody with the baggage of a Trump.

I like the idea of the sons continuing the Trump empire (not politics) versus being in politics.

If Trump completes the term, his "retirement" will be a multiyear farewell tour best done with his family and allowing the Country to take a breather.

Passing the baton to a family member has been, or would have been, a failure. Bill to Hillary, HW Bush to George and Jeb, Barack to Michelle.

Rubio or Vance…or both. Enough with inheriting the Presidency.

The R bench is deep at the moment.
The D bench is crowdsourcing a platform with scrubs.

Absolutely no need to run a Trump at this moment, it could backfire and put in a D dumber than brain dead Biden.

Rubio isn't too charismatic, though he is the most competent. I think it would be a Vance-Rubio ticket.

It is not so much as an inheritance as it is a built in political machine. In theory, Jeb was up next in 2016. he had the name and the machine behind him. No one ever saw Trump coming. And without Trump in that race, it would have been Cruz and Jeb going the distance. IMO.

If he wants to run in 2028.......More power to him.

The Presidential campaign field should be wide open.

All candidates can get on stage and debate for the people's vote.......

Good luck to him and all the other candidates......

As it stands now, Rubio has my vote for the Republican nomination….as far as a Trump family member making a run at the nomination in the future, I have been impressed with Lara Trump more so than Don Jr.

I agree. We want real America First. Just to be bold and get sheet done. Trump's been a disappointment, now he's done the Wag the Dog thing with Iran. He only cares about the stock market. Heck I care about it too but Americans need jobs back. The Govt can do a lot to restrain corps who have gone rogue.

Yea I don't think anyone would vote based on name.

Continuation of the Trump agenda is high / highest on the list. Who does it is less important than their ability to do it.

Trump Jr should get some experience first. I know Trump didn't have political experience when he ran, but I think Don Jr has more to prove and show he's not just riding daddy's coat tails.
