He's correct about cultural decay in much of America regarding work ethic. Many Americans can do this stuff but due to our local work conditions and economic conditions and living standards expectations, many Americans don't see the incentive to work much harder academically and with time commitment versus the relative gain in income potential, partly because that potential is eroded by cheaper foreign labor that is often less skilled (pseudo-degrees and certs) but also is under far more circumstantial duress to succeed at any cost.
It becomes a simple calculation of short term gains with "good enough" work output that is very inexpensive versus much higher labor costs competing for high quality work.domestic workers by orividing sufficient incentive to motivate them.

The reality is that a pool of 1.4billion gives you about 4x the number of exceptional individuals from which to choose, so if the job is based on outright intellectual capacity, India will have a numbers edge. The only question then is the quality of their education and training.

Americans are still the most intelligent in the world.

India stopped reporting their PISA scores in 2009 when their scores ranked 72nd out of 73 reporting countries.

If a quality coder requires a 130 IQ, the US has a pool of around 7.5 million. India has an average IQ of 82. Their professional class has an average IQ of 88. Their professionals with a post graduate degree have an average IQ of 94. Probably a good guess their professional class primarily consists of individuals from the top two castes that constitute around 30% of the country. Back of the napkin math would put around 1.1 million above a 130 IQ in the upper castes and around 0.3 million above a 130 IQ in the lower castes.

Yep. By a pure numbers game, it's obvious what is going on. Anyone who has seen the data knows importing 500 million Indians will make this nation demonstrably worse if only from an IQ perspective.

I'll concede this much - you ARE consistent with your assumption game...
That is a fact, not an assumption. He's not American and no amount of paperwork will change that.
Are only whites American?
If your family showed up after Hart-Celler, you are not American. You are just visiting.
That's factually not true. That is called an opinion, and one that seems to stem from a personal belief that only white Europeans can be considered eligible to be Americans, at least according to your posting history.

Heritage Americans at a minimum trace their ancestry back to when the Frontier was active. Anyone who came after the nation was settled is not really going to understand what it means to be an American because they have no connection to their ancestors settling and/or conquering an untamed land.

Yes, he is lying in saying that there is not enough homegrown talent in America.

There are hardworking and talented Americans laid off every day who are better suited for their jobs than their foreign replacements, but the foreigners are cheaper.

He wants cheap foreign immigrants from his homeland so he can increase his own influence in America. He is making excuses for why he wants to import labor because he won't admit he favors Indians like himself.

You sound pretty racist...

This is why I don't trust anyone who supports H1-B. I assume the primary reason they support is because they either want to import cheap labor or because they want to import more of their ethnic cohorts.
FWIW, I never said I support H1-Bs.

Yes, and most of the rest of the world does not have the diversity that we do and their nations are homogenous so to get an accurate comparison, you have to break down the US by race.

I'm actually glad to see this. It is an interesting breakdown given how multicultural snd multiethnic the USA is.

I'm not against bringing in exceptional or needed foreign intellectual talent, but the current H1B system is a titanic fraud and everyone involved knows or suspects it. It's just a different form of international social justice as well. Spread wealth and opportunity to a target population, but it's been obvious for years that fake job requisitions are being created that are custom written in coordination with H1B contractors so only their dubiously credentialed applicants meet the requirements, and at no surprise at a very cut rate with no negotiating power, helping drive down skilled labor rates broadly across the market domestically.
This is chamber of commerce corruption.
DanielDay

Looking for foreign talent for a US job has always been about cost. If you go after the undocumented workers, there is a discount because their labor market has fewer options. Go after the H1B market and they have challenges moving to other employers. In both cases you can pay them less than American citizens.

That is the main reason. I'm not saying it's always easy to find an American worker for every skill level and willing to work 70 hours for a company when another is only requiring 40. It's not lazy choosing the 40 hrs vs 70 hrs if everything else is equal. You're a fool or desperate to do so.

While true, Singapore is a city state. Not really comparable to a nation of 330 million people. They can pick and choose who gets to live there easily.

Vivek is much more of a hanger on. Elon still has some good will because his companies are actual useful to America and he helped a lot with X to change the narrative prior to the election.

Anyone who ever trusted Vivek has suspect intelligence. He has always been a flip flopping con man. The only thing he was ever good for was bringing up previously niche right wing talking points. Not because he ever believed them, but because he found it politically expedient. Even then, most people I know who believed in those talking points would never vote for him because he is an obvious con man.

As long as Elon allows the conversation to happen he's fine. He can selfishly import wage slaves all day long but as long as people have a voice on X he's going to get a pass.

Some are going to point out a few blue checkmarks being stripped but that's not the same as platform-wide censorship

We dont want any more Indians. We dont want any more third world immigration period. Hell, most of us don't want anyone from Norway or Hungary either. We have enough people. We need to convince Americans to get off their asses and make ween companies off the third world labor teat.

But when Chad and Karen would rather live at home with mom and dad instead of getting the jobs the third world immigrants like Vivek are happily taking, what else can be done except to hire them? Wages have gone to and Chad and Karen still would rather stay home than work. How else do you convince them to work when it's obvious they don't want to.

Jocks don't sit at home after school. I have never known any jock who did this. They all went on to be very successful. The people who stayed at home were those who did nothing in high school beyond school.
