It has nothing to do with official language. In order to become a citizen legally, you have to speak English, in case you didn't know.Quote:
We don't have an official language in the United States. Unlike Canada where they force you to say she/him. We have Freedom of Speech here in case you didn't know

You never know, but I'm conditioned to believe Americans don't have the stomach for the fight when the MSM shows the deportations occurring and CNN shows children crying and men and women being injured. It's the same strategy the Muslims use to sway the weak West against Israel.
There's a mandate, but don't be surprised to see this get stopped very quickly when CNN gets video to use for their propaganda

this is such a lazy argument - most the folks that poured into the country aren't picking crops - they wouldn't be put up in the various sanctuary cities public housing , receiving EBT cards etc. if they were living rural next to the farms they are "all" working on.The Fall Guy said:

It's not a high horse for someone to point out that you are openly stating that you prefer to use someone's criminal status to extract labor that is personally cheaper for you, while you externalize all the additional costs of their criminal presence to the rest of the citizens of your country.murphyag said:KerrAg76 said:

Oh, get off your high horse. I don't know where you live, but it is next to impossible to find a company staffed with all American citizens where I live. As, I stated earlier the companies are all owned by white guys and are insured.
I live in the San Antonio area. Since living here we've had a roof replaced, flood mitigation inside the house, new flooring, new paint exterior and interior, and had foundation work done. All of those jobs were completed by locally owned American companies; the flooring was installed by one guy - not illegal. I didn't verify each worker, but the crews for the most part seemed to be American with the possible exception of the foundation work but that was a national company and I assume (correct or not) they were legal because of that. None of that work was the absolute cheapest available.murphyag said:B-1 83 said:Do you honestly believe that "illegals" do any great chunk of crop picking? Most of the meat packing plants/slaughterhouses are staffed with illegals and illegals do, in fact, pick a lot of the fruits and vegetables grown here. People in charge are going to have to figure out what to do about that. Give them work papers or something. I'll also be curious to see how much it effects construction in Texas. I made a list of every job I've hired out in the last few years and pretty much all were staffed with illegals (except plumbing, electric, hvac.)
New roof- illegals
Exterior painting in house Company A- illegals
Interior house painting done by Company B- illegals. This bunch had a lot of variety- Mexicans, Guatemalans, Hondurans, and guy from Peru
New pool- illegals
New gutters- illegals
Driveway concrete extension- illegals
Fence construction-illegals
Fence staining- illegals
New sod laid- illegals
New stone flower beds- illegals
Tree trimming of big live oaks- illegals
New landscape bushes and flowers-illegals
New windows- illegals
New screens- illegals
New interior shutters- illegals
New wood flooring- illegals
New interior tiled floors- illegals
Our longtime lawn mowing crew- illegals and I'll fight tooth and nail to help them get work papers. I'm sorry, but no teenagers or adult white or black guys do as good with yard work as Hispanics. I've tried them all and there is just no substitute for the quality of work of my guys.
House cleaner- we wouldn't trust anyone else with our house. She is the best cleaner we've ever had. She treats our house, pets, and kids like they are her own.
I am out of town for work at least 3-4 days per week. I work long hours every day. No way in hell I'm spending any of my precious free time doing yard work, house cleaning, honey do jobs, etc.
ETA- All of the illegals I mentioned above work for companies owned by white guys. There's going to be a lot of pissed off small business owners when their companies fold.

Well they were a bunch of white guys roofing and painting. Like I already said. Could be from another country but I doubt it. And the floor installer worked by himself, one white guy. Again, doubtful he is illegal. ymmv but that's what I observed. All of the companies I used are owned by white male Americans. And I think most of you on here are full of it if you claim to have hired a bunch of companies that weren't staffed with illegals. That is next to impossible where I live for all of the work I had done. Lastly, none of the companies I used were cheap. I have found that hiring the cheapest bid equals poor work. I can't control who the owners of these companies hire to do their jobs. They obviously think they do good work or they wouldn't keep them on staff.
