I have a BS in Economics. And this inflationary surge was caused by Government spending.......partially Trump after the Dems unneccessarily shut down the economy for COVID, but mostly Biden's free wheeling giveaways including College Tuition loan cancellations and then the "Inflation Reduction Act", which actually increased inflation.

Inflation is caused by too many $s chasing too few goods and/or services. Dems love to pump $s in the market to buy votes and constituencies.

you do understand the concept of compounding? 5.2% over 4 years is 22.4% increase - 2.0% if it hold for this year just means that year 5 is 24.8% higher than 2021.

It comes with the job and everyone I served with understood this simple truth. 2,459 Americans lost their lives in Afghanistan. An additional 20.000 plus were wounded. Four Presidents lived in the White House during the Afghan War both Republican and Democrat. Yet here you are singling out 13 lives to fit your political narrative with the last President who had enough sense to get us the hell out of that country.

I'm a Bush guy. I think Trump is not a good human being and I do not believe he has a moral compass.
I have policy beliefs but I do think that character matters. I do not believe that the SC court was right to rule that a President has immunity for official acts. Does not matter to me which party the President is from, they should not have blanket immunity. I don't trust Trump with that kind of power.
I feel like he has done more damage to our discourse than Harris could do in four years with divided government.
Economically, I'm doing better now, business profits up, investments up, nearly full employment.
Immigration is an issue but I'm not afraid of getting killed by one. Trump talks a lot about things designed to make people afraid.
His fascination with being Putin's buddy turns me off. I believe we should be supporting democracy at home and abroad.
I don't think Harris is the anti-christ. She's just a normal person who I may not agree with policy wise. I think Trump only cares about himself.
Bottom line is that if she does not do a good job, we will vote her out in four years. Trump on the other hand, is just such an unserious person that I can't in good conscience vote for him.
If Haley was the nominee, she would have won easily.

Uh communism is both a political and economic system, socialism on crack. Harris advocates government mandated price controls instead of having the market correct itself Those have never worked and is a staple of central planning aka communism.

What its really about is shifting blame from democratic economic mismanagement to the private sector. In other words in typical dishonest fashion the democrats are blaming others for problems they created- in this case long duration inflation by taking lock-downs much further than warranted which disrupted supply chains and accelerated pent up demand with no way to meet it. And never mind the massive expansion of the money supply while the eco was far from creating the wealth needed to justify that expansion.

All of this was highly inflationary. They are eco idiots.

I think the difficult thing here is that many people on both sides of the political spectrum think that the average voter has educated informed and votes for what is best.

In reality, the average voter is a dumbass uninformed person who can't figure out why they can't pay their bills and feed their families.

They want to work 32 hrs a week and don't understand why that's not adequate.

If you've ever sat on a jury, and seen a 'jury of your peers', you'd be very afraid of whos voting.
