Tell me her 3 biggest accomplishments in the last 4 years as Vice President that have helped the American people. Genuinely curious what you base your decision on in voting for her.

[Not directed at OP here, this is a PSA for all users in the hours and days ahead. Answering questions or stating positions for other users is trolling. We might not moderate all of it because this type of trolling is so prevalent here. This is your warning. You may end up without posting privileges tonight and the days ahead if you engage in "answering for the opposition." Users with opposing views may engage with each other over their own expressed opinion, which is what this forum is all about. Cluttering discussion threads with a bunch of straw man posts is not a good faith effort at discussion. Please post accordingly. Also, we do not need users referencing this PSA or moderation on any of the threads. That is thread derailing and will potentially be moderated. Tell me the three biggest accomplishments for any vice president... Most don't do much of anything policy wise. I can't remember anything that Pence or VP Biden did and I mostly remember that Cheney shot a guy (and may have been Emperor Palpatine behind the scenes).

She worked with the President to better our economy. I'm voting for her because he's one of the biggest losers ever in American politics. I'm voting for her because he's a racist, a rapist, a diaper wearing crap filled idiot. He's dementia-riddled and couldn't do anything right in this election year. Everyday, he did something stupid, said something stupid or insulted people. I'm voting for Harris because everyone that worked for Trump is not supporting him and will not vote for him. He wants to kill democracy. How you folks go to Texas A&M is beyond me, the entire Class of '41 is disgusted. Our military history as a school makes me wonder why you even came here if you're voting for someone who blatently shows disdain for the military and it's leaders. Go ahead mods, you can take this down, you don't let anyone speak what's on their mind anyway unless it's pro-Trump.

I hope he gets trounced by women voters, GenZ voters, military veteran voters, black voters, hispanic voters. I hope he gets absolutely clobbered. He's the biggest embarrassment in American history.

I love how you guys keep making posts asking for dem/liberal opinions, only to immediately flood the replies with jokes and insults about the same people you're pretending to want to hear from. And somehow, this is never considered "trolling" by the moderator(s) of this forum. Gotta love that Aggie honesty and integrity, right?

Anyway, here's the answer you clearly don't want to hear. The only reason millions of people need to vote for Harris, is that she's not trump. I seem to recall a similar phenomenon happening to Hillary Clinton in 2016. When you run a candidate that half the electorate absolutely despises, you risk people voting for "not that one". Democrats learned their lesson. Republicans still haven't.

They learned their lesson by not letting the people choose their candidate. Could be really smart, or really dumb. We'll find out today.

I would never vote for her.

But a chunk of the people I know are.
Their reasoning is get out of interfering in the Middle East, making abortion legal in all 50 states, letting PR become a state, helping illegal immigrants become citizens, taxing heavily those who make 500k plus a year, forcing affordable housing in the suburbs, and breaking the cycle of men leading this country.

NOTE! THIS IS NOT MY OPINION BUT MY FRIENDS' OPINIONS.

1. COVID-19 Vaccination Efforts: She helped lead the national vaccine rollout, supporting the nation's recovery.

2. Infrastructure Law: She backed the bipartisan law investing in roads, broadband, and jobs across the country.

3. Advocacy for Rights: Harris championed reproductive rights and voting access, focusing on protections for marginalized groups.

So you say Trump has shown disdain for the military?

I guess you are ok with how Biden/Harris handled Afghanistan?

13 died needlessly and then both of them refuse to apologize or meet/recognize those families losses other than cursory statements.

I would say that's the definition of disdain for the military and our country.

Thanks for all the responses. My concern for the unawake is that if you haven't woken up in the last 4 years, then I don't know what's going to wake you up at this point. What else do you need to see to realize the Clinton/Bush/Obama/Biden/Harris regime does not have the best interest of the American people in mind with anything they do.

No need to qualify our vote at this point.

The simple fact that one is a convicted felon, and the other is a law-abiding prosecutor doesn't seem to work for you as a legit answer.

But the answer for the winning majority - incoming ,is obvious.

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is a long-term plan, and while some broadband projects take time to implement due to logistics, planning, and contracting, significant funds have been allocated to expanding internet access across underserved areas. Many states and local governments are actively working on these projects, with some already underway or in the pipeline. It's a complex process, but the goal is to ensure broadband reaches rural and underserved communities over the coming years.

omg.. the infrastructure big gov spending bill during an inflationary period, where four years later they brought high speed internet to no one and spent a billion dollars to build six EV charging stations. Great success for big government efficiency and productivity with our money.

I couldn't take anything you said seriously, especially after this comment. Whose administration was it that withdrew from Afghanistan, leaving US military equipment to be paraded around by the Taliban and hundreds of Americans and thousands of allies to die, be taken hostage, or be driven into hiding?

Please explain your first statement of "She worked with the President to better our economy"...I am genuinely curious how someone can actually overlook how bad inflation has been over the past few years of this administration to the extent they actually believe the economy is better than it was with Trump in office.

I hope common sense prevails and people vote for Trump who has done the job before and done it successfully, instead of voting to give a promotion to Harris who has done absolutely nothing to deserve/earn it.

That being said, I am taking nothing for granted tonight, the ruling class of liberal elites will stop at nothing to remain in power, which worries the crap out of me.

Praying for our country no matter the outcome.

Now do inflation and debt levels. I bet you dont understand the correlation between high stock prices based on easy money and inflation and debt. At our rate of debt accumulation and cost of debt servicing the real value of those those stock prices are not going to hold.

You can use Great Britain and the pound of the early 1970's as an example.

That's great and all, but many people, including myself, only took the vaccine because it was required by an employer to return to office. At the time I was a federal employee and only took the vaccine because it was mandated by the DoD. If I had my choice I would have never accepted the shot.

Biden gets credit for having the highest inflation rate we've seen in the past 40 years. Please educate yourself.
https://www.investopedia.com/us-inflation-rate-by-president-8546447#toc-donald-trump-20172021

Donald Trump (20172021)
Average YOY Inflation Rate: 1.9%

The average year-over-year inflation rate under President Donald Trump was 1.9%. Inflation remained low during Trump's presidency.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, bringing a brief but severe recession along with it, the Trump administration declared a state of emergency and passed stimulus measures such as the $2 trillion Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act in an attempt to provide relief to individuals and businesses. The economic policies followed by the Trump administration are now known as Trumponomics.

Joe Biden (2021)
Average YOY Inflation Rate: 5.2%*

The average year-over-year inflation rate under President Joe Biden so far is 5.2%. Biden signed the American Rescue Plan Act in 2021, a $1.9 trillion stimulus package to help the country recover from COVID-19. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic recovery and the soaring gas prices after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, inflation rose to record levels not seen since the 1980s. Inflation peaked at 9.1% year-over-year in June 2022, the highest increase in 40 years.

The Fed responded by raising interest rates 11 times since March 2022 in an attempt to cool the stubborn inflation. While inflation did come down from its 2022 peak in 2023, it still remains above the Fed's 2% target.
Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED), Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. "Inflation & Rates."
In September 2024, the Fed made its first rate cut in four years. Biden's economic policies are now referred to as Bidenomics.

*The average year-over-year inflation rate for the Biden administration was calculated for the years 2021 to August 2024, since Biden's term is still ongoing.
