As a regular listener of Kill Tony, I am shocked to hear they had him speak at a Trump rally. But I am not surprised outrage ensued…and it's hilarious that he even made the Trump campaign back peddle and distance themselves from this.

He hosts a comedy show where the edgiest, most offensive jokes possible are encouraged. What did they expect?

Uhhh potentially pissing off a whole cross section of voters. Pennsylvania* alone (currently a toss up) has 400k Puerto Rican-Americans. Those political ramifications.

Edit: PA, not Michigan

lol. Political ramifications with whom? People like you who already will never vote republican? WGAF? Some of us can laugh at funny jokes from a comedian.

Or potentially it won't matter. Right?

I tally the number of folks who leaned republican who will now vote Kamala (or even just not vote) as a result of this made up drama at 0. I know you pointed out how many Puerto Ricans there are in PA. I think it's silly for you to assume a single one will change his or her mind.

Sure, and potentially we're all living in a programmed reality.

But you know what is the safer play? Simply not poking 400k of an electorate in a swing state that was decided by 80k votes in 2020.

MC's analysis is spot on. The stand up routine at a political rally just sounded mean rather than funny. Hard to dispute that. It is completely an unforced error. Is it fatal? Of course not. But it is an error and you're Ignoring the news today, if you don't think that.

One week before the election, you don't want every Trump surrogate on every news station answering questions about a comedian that no one ever heard of. Indisputable.

The media had telegraphed that they were going to report this rally as a racist, Nazi rally, and the comedian gave them all of the ammunition they needed to run with it for two days to try to dominate the news, take away from positive Trump stories, take away from negative Kamala stories, and try to convert 20 - 30,000 Puerto Ricans to vote for Kamala or to not vote at all. It's just that simple.

Am I offended by the joke? Of course not. I am offended by the poor decision to put somebody like that on stage to insult the two biggest minority groups that Republicans made in roads with the last two years. Very poor decision.

Good lord this reaction to a comedian telling funny jokes is both ridiculous and obvious.

Seriously y'all - Trump was elected president after saying on tape that when you're rich and famous you can grab women by…well, you know that rest. And y'all thinks THIS has an impact?

Even when most Puerto Ricans thought it was funny and don't care? Some even grateful that the problem might actually receive help they haven't with the Biden/Harris administration.

The only ones offended are leftists/Democrats who would never vote Trump anyway. And they're always offended at everything except the racist vitriol coming from Kamala and Walz.

You even have CNN defending George Lopez because he IS Mexican and it's "alright"

Some of you seriously don't think people have actual senses of humor.

You really think a Trump suporter would change their vote over a joke about a well-known trash problem in PR?

Seriously?

Watch the first one especially.

It's funny people always bring up that comment, he wasn't talking about women walking down the street, he told one other guy and it was about women he dated. All of a sudden the left became the prudes they never are, apparently never have dirty talk or sex and got offended when these same people sing about the female anatomy and barely wear clothes. But didn't care that Biden molests women and children on camera.

What a weird and wonderful world we live in!

Too funny.

But I agree with you. He was a comedian.

Joking about PR trash situation bad. Joking about Mexican's stealing, Good.

Not only physically, he's a mental moron now.

He was funny back in the 1990s.

Now he has massive TDS and just an overall propagandist for the DNC and according to CNN he can joke about Mexicans stealing because he is one.

No, a comedians joke won't convert a Trump voter to a Kamala voter. 95% of likely voters have already made up their mind. The potential issue is turning an UNLIKELY Kamala voter, into a LIKELY voter. Basically, motivating someone who was previously going to sit out, to instead vote.

We've seen it in each of the last 2 elections that Trump is REALLY good at motivating people to vote (for and against him). This particular sound bite is circulating all over the news and will only motivate someone to vote against him who otherwise may have been apathetic.

Oh don't get me wrong, this will be my 3rd time voting for Trump. The first time I was voting against Hillary. I'm just making the point that people who want a reason not to vote for him have already found it. A comedian at a rally telling jokes that people wouldn't bat an eye at in any other circumstance isn't going to change a damn thing.

Nora and CBS was "all in" with it on their news today. They are so desperate with trying to get Kamala across the finish line but she just is so horrible of a candidate.
We'll win this war, but we'll win it only by fighting and by showing the Germans that we've got more guts than they have, or ever will have. We're not going to just shoot the sons-of-b******, were going to rip out their living G*******d guts and use them to grease the treads of our tanks. We're going to murder those lousy Hun c********** by the bushel-f****** basket. War is a bloody killing business. You've got to spill their blood or they will spill yours. Rip them up the belly. Yeah, again, gonna say that grand total is 0. Or non-consequential. But don't worry, we'll have the answer a week from tomorrow. Or we would if your party wasn't determined to turn us into a third world country that can't finalize election results in a timely manner.

Agreed.

Well they have to go all the way back to Charlottesville to lie about that comment, even Biden threw it out there just a month ago or so. They can't lay off the grab them comment either.

They need new material, so maybe this joke faux outrage will appease them.

You seem very upset over a potential issue. Maybe try to relax and wait and see what happens next week?

I know you want Trump to win. I don't think this will change many votes, if any. IMO.

Only because the Nazi (pun intended) propaganda for the DNC is making it so. The average voter doesn't care except those that watch CNN/MSNBC or are foaming at the mouth about anything to try and damage Trump. All the while ignoring the hate, vitriol and hypocrisy from their own side.

It's both laughable and pathetic at the same time.

They are very desperate now.

Well, if they're that stupid, to be swayed by something Trump didn't even say and from many people at the rally saying they didn't even laugh much, maybe they shouldn't be voting.

There is a really issue with trash in PR. It's an odd thing to get their panties in a wad. This too shall pass.

I'm not upset at all. Appreciate the concern tho!

It might not, but it also might. My initial post wasn't meant to get into the political ramifications (people asked), but instead how the forum impacts how a comedians joke is interpreted.
