The independents who caucus with the Democrat is what gives them their majority.

Won't change anything. Unless they jail him right away or the Senate expels him, he still holds the seat.

If he is booted or resigns, the Democrat governor will just appoint another Democrat to replace him.

And even if their majority temporarily drops to 50-50, they still have Harris as the tie breaker.

When does the Senate expel him? They will slow walk that until after the elections otherwise the Dems give up control to Republicans and they ain't gonna do that.

Fox reporter thinking because he's not well liked that he might actually be expelled which requires a 2/3 vote.

Dems were starting to view him as a liability. He's been previously charged and skated on a hung jury, but then went right back into his same schemes. Leadership views his run as an independent as a liability.

Sentencing is October 28th. He could still be on the ballot for the general.

What's crazy is we have legitimate bank records showing Biden accepting money from foreign agents and funneling those to shell companies and family members. Dems don't care one bit.

Assuming Biden loses, yes he'll likely pardon him. They have known each other for decades.

Now being reported Schumer is calling for his resignation, so the NJ Governor must already have a replacement in mind.

30 other democrats have previously called for or signed onto calls for his resignation. Unless republicans backed away to potentially keep him around to poison the ballot he could easily be expelled.

Fetterman is one of his loudest critics. He has been calling for his resignation since the charges have been filed.

So Mendez just made a statement. It was all pretty much bull****, didn't act as a foreign agent, didn't violate his oath and will be successful on appeal and said there were grave a appellate items.

His lawyer is now speaking after him. This guy is screwed. He needs to give it up.

And before someone comes on here and says the same about Trump, no. Completely different situations.

This was just like Hunter. Too much evidence for actual crimes and the jury actually understood what they were finding him guilty of.

Apparently there is an ongoing espionage investigation. He was allegedly funneling classified info to his wife that was passing it along to foreign contacts.

Prove that up and he should be charged with treason.

All he would have to do is glad-hand Johnson to raise Impeachment charges against him, expedite the vote...R's should take the shot...

I bet Schumer could tell 20 D Senators to vote with 47 R's to seal the deal and remove him...no resignation necessary.

Based on the pile of charges he's racked up that would actually be impressive. This is the 2nd time S. Dist. NY has gone after him, with a hung jury the first time. He doubled down and they nailed him this time. I've heard he thought he was teflon and just flaunted it everywhere.

Didn't he pay for s*x with underage boys in Dominican Republic back in the day? If so, he'll be a "hit" in prison.
