Agree, it's going to suck dealing with another 4 years of Biden but the MAGA meltdown on this board election night and the subsequent stolen election threads may make it worth it. Hopefully we have another QAnon thread going as icing on the cake.

Not surprising that some of you have no problem with election fraud and throwing away your own integrity.

How did you escape the sore loser DeSantis (SLD) syndrome. Sell me a truck load please.

Because I want what is best for the country. And that is anyone other than a Dem.

No, I've read all the reasons twisting the truth. Trump was a great president.

Wanna know why people don't want to vote for Trump?

Not voting for Trump. After an epic ass kicking Trumpians will cry that they were cheated and prepare for Trump 2028. Trump is an unmitigated disaster.
I'm with GA

voting in Maryland doesn't matter as a potato beats Trump here.

will either write in DeSantis or go with RF Kennedy if he makes the ballot.

at least Kennedy was against the Vaccine madness, unlike Trump.

I voted for Trump in '16 & '20. My biggest worry is that Trump loses, claims he was cheated and runs yet again in '28. MAGA will continue to support him and we get 3 straight terms of Democrats in the WH.

The thing is, I HATE this question.

The GOP base is nominating on feels for "revenge" and "owning the dems" and the people who know it's the wrong direction for the country are getting this "well, you're a marxist if you don't vote for Trump."

There are many other choices. You see it as binary. It isn't.

I'm most likely voting for Trump this year, but the attitude of you have to eat the rotten hamburger I made for you or starve is the stupidest way of operating.

No, Trump is winning the nomination because people are voting for him or his policies.

That is your biggest worry? Not the millions of illegal immigrants? Not the impending recession? Not the weaponization of the DOJ/FBI?
Um okay.

Snow flakes concerned about personalities should go back to high school and vote for most popular.

Still Trump but zero chance he's going to be the lightning rod that does away with Marxism. I've been following this stuff long enough to know how hard the country will swing in the midterms and in 2028. Demographics aren't in our favor IMHO.

Yes, none of this gets fixed or addressed at all if Trump loses again and again. His MASSIVE negative turnout almost ensures a loss. If he could somehow stop saying stupid things on a daily basis he might have a chance.

This is almost word for word the way I look at it too. I voted for Trump the two previous times (well, in 2016 I looked at it more like I was voting for any warm body that wasn't Hilary), and despite my serious issues with him I'll likely vote for him again this time as the lesser of the two ****s. But I want no part of the cult of personality/Trump's-personal-revenge-tour nonsense. And what's likely to make me simply sit home and not vote for either is the insufferable Trump fan club that keeps shouting at me "Vote Trump or else you're a commie!!!!!!!!!!!" childish bull*****

This is a thread about coming to terms with Trump as the nominee. Seemed like the right place to share my opinion about Trump's chances.

Yes, I'd be worried about another Dem 4 years. And weaponization of the justice dept? Trump has already said he intends to use it to go after those who wronged him. If you think he's going to dismantle the DOJ, he won't. He's just going to put his loyal people in charge....and then use them as a weapon. This is the problem. He needs to focus on immigration and the economy...and then worry if we're going to get more involved in the middle east or just let it play out without our support. He's got 4 years to get the things done he claims he will.

I don't have a problem with removing partisan bureaucrats, I do have a problem if its just tit for tat retribution.

Will vote for him as I have to in this two horse race

I didn't want him to be the nominee for these reasons

-He can't win. Be that by vote manipulation or not (I'm of the opinion it happened but not large enough to "steal" for Biden

-He can't get out of his own way. Drop the schtik. Drop the abrasive DBag act, especially towards other conservatives. Just be direct, honest, and presentable

-The indictments, sham/witch-hunt or not, will dissuade some from voting for him. Wanted somebody without that hanging over their head

-He's lost so many people that used to like him, or at least want to vote for him. And much of it by his own doing.

-I'd love the person I vote for to be a worshipper, not desire to be worshipped.

You're one of the worst offenders. Projecting your fears or what you want to happen on the board so one day you can say see I told you so. You can never give support or admit something good has happened because it would go against everything you've said for a year and a half.

Believe me, I want Trump to win and will gladly admit to being wrong about his chances. Until Covid hysteria took over he was doing a very good job as POTUS. Then he lost to Biden who didn't even run a campaign. Forget all the stolen election talk, Dems made ballot harvesting and mass mail in ballots legal and then took full advantage of Trump's high negatives.

Libs and moderates will crawl naked over broken glass with an illegal alien tied to their backs to vote against Trump. They don't care that a corrupt dementia patient will be POTUS. That's why I wanted Desantis to win. A lot of Trump voters (like me) and people that aren't very political are just sick of the damn circus that surrounds him and want someone else.

In the real world of US Presidential elections neither candidate capable of winning will totally represent personal goals. You campaign for and discuss their views closest to yours. You vote for the candidate that most closely aligns with your views.
