I wish the nom was going to DeSantes, but it isn't, so I am all in on Trump now. The alternative is worse, by a long shot.

How did you escape the sore loser DeSantis (SLD) syndrome. Sell me a truck load please.
Wanna know why people don't want to vote for Trump?

We know. People got their feelings hurt and would rather deal with 4 more years of Biden than swallow their pride and wait their turn. You sure showed them!!

You're one of the worst offenders. Projecting your fears or what you want to happen on the board so one day you can say see I told you so. You can never give support or admit something good has happened because it would go against everything you've said for a year and a half.
Believe me, I want Trump to win and will gladly admit to being wrong about his chances. Until Covid hysteria took over he was doing a very good job as POTUS. Then he lost to Biden who didn't even run a campaign. Forget all the stolen election talk, Dems made ballot harvesting and mass mail in ballots legal and then took full advantage of Trump's high negatives.

Libs and moderates will crawl naked over broken glass with an illegal alien tied to their backs to vote against Trump. They don't care that a corrupt dementia patient will be POTUS. That's why I wanted Desantis to win. A lot of Trump voters (like me) and people that aren't very political are just sick of the damn circus that surrounds him and want someone else.
I'm extremely moderate and will gladly vote for Trump. Trump brings middle of the road people into mix and the hard right freaks out. It should be a good thing. I know there are plenty like me. The people that claim to be moderate but hate Trump, I question how moderate they are. Probably closer to the hard left than the center right who support Trump. Blue collar types that that really actually hate both sides after getting screwed by both since the Bush years.

The irony of all this. I mean, the absolute thickest, most bog deep irony of this are the people that say people that aren't voting for Trump are somehow voting on account of their feelings.

Trump...I mean absolutely everything about Trump, is to appeal to the feelings of his supporters. And he is playing you people like a fiddle.

Say what you want about other political parties, politicians, a choice of this or that, whatever, its all probably true, but that in no way changes my point above. (I can already hear you little nimrods typing saying something about Biden...blah blah. I don't care. I don't support him either...Im not going to respond so save your tying).

No, Trump is winning the nomination because people are voting for him or his policies.
Most people who nominated him could name maybe 2 platforms he's running on but I guarantee they couldn't give any details about how he'll do it ....or any other things he's running on. Mainly because his entire campaign has been "Election stolen, Witch hunt, immigration, tariffs, NATO bad". He hasn't given any clear indications of how he'll do those things that are actually important.

So people voting for him are doing it out of no other option, now, and many just because he's the R nominee and they are praying he'll actually focus on the good of the country and not personal issues. So a vote for Trump is not a vote of confidence for a great many of people....and he needs those people to win.

Trump would win in a landslide if he actually took this campaign and focused on talking about the policies and left the bs out of it. But...he would lose his most ardent supporters and they are the ones that actually attend his rallies. Their adulation feeds him and he feeds their need for entertainment.

Whatever you need to say to make yourself feel better.

Didn't vote in 2016, voted for Trump in 2020 because of his positive effect on day to day life, actually felt good about the country's future. After 8 years of Obama, and being told none of this stuff was possible, I was impressed when Trump made it possible as best he could*. He earned my vote you can say. He also exposed a lot of what I had felt was going on for years with career politicians and the political class. What they tried was unbelievable to watch, and the way people bought it was disturbing. He gets hammered for not beating them but damn did he open some eyes. Still is.

I did not bully. I was a Cruz guy the first time, and wanted DeSantis to rise.

Sack up. I was content to let the process play out. It has, and we have a choice. Which one are you and others going to make?

For someone that hates the Left, it's one that needs to be made, and not as hard as one would thinks given the alternative.

Agree, it's going to suck dealing with another 4 years of Biden but the MAGA meltdown on this board election night and the subsequent stolen election threads may make it worth it. Hopefully we have another QAnon thread going as icing on the cake.
