Trump University, Trump Vodka, Trump Steaks, Trump Atlantic City Casinos, MAGA, Trump GOP. This current coup is run by his strongest sycophants. They have no plan for what happens if they succeed, just more stupid and nothing gets done.

Trump is the biggest failure/fraud of all time. We need to make up a new word for extreme failure to apply to anything Trump does.

He may break the USA. We need to send him to Russia so his clumsy ass can break them instead. He is like the Inspector Clouseaus of Presidents.

"Former President Donald Trump issued a full-throated endorsement of House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy on Wednesday morning, hours before Republicans planned to return to the floor to try again to elect a speaker.

"Some really good conversations took place last night, and it's now time for all of our GREAT Republican House members to VOTE FOR KEVIN, CLOSE THE DEAL, TAKE THE VICTORY,..."

You really don't pay attention, do you?

Someone with a spine needs to be saying these kinds of things. It's ridiculous we can't just appropriate funds normally like a regular congress could as recently as when Obama was president. Democrats insist on all or nothing.

Conservatives have been infected with TDS.

It's sad to see what they have become.

The Orange has broken even some of my fellow conservatives.

Great. Then what? What does Gaetz do when he finally catches the car and McCarthy is out? (mostly thanks to the dems btw)

Two steps left and one step right is still drifting leftward over a long period of time.

The status quo needs to be shaken up and until more people start to grasp that reality then the conservative ideology will continue it's decline.
it's a nice fantasy world you live in.

Did Trump "shake up the status quo"?

how is the country doing now?

Longest government shutdown in nations history under Trump.

Not near long enough though.

Oh yeah, pass a new CR at current spending rates until the next election.

No. The dems love the current speaker. I mean, he gives them everything they want and he gladly gives it to them with exactly 0.0000000000 in return.

Hell, he's better for them than Nancy.

Hyperbole is always effective when you have no argument. Did the Friday bill that Gaetz tanked give the dems "everything they wanted?"
Of course it did. They want temporary spending bills, which is what they got.

Whoever takes over will do the exact same thing (and at least initially, will be hand picked by McCarthy). It's the reality of not having a large majority in the house and not having the senate or White House. This is all pointless theatrics.

Get it through your head that it's McCarthy who is screwing up the plan. Gaetz is simply holding him accountable to the promises McCarthy made in order to gain the speakership in the first place. Gaetz is responding as we should have been doing all along..people must be held accountable and it has to start sometime. Being passive during budget season has gotten us record debt. Explain why a conservative should not support this.

Then they'll obviously vote to keep him in right? Right?
I sure as hell hope they think they can get the speakership by voting him out. They would be cutting their own throat, but they've done that before (see simple majority on court appointments).

Actual conservatives don't want a liberal like him to represent the GOP.

Interesting to see several of the pro-DeSantis folks making pro-McCarthy comments, even with DeSantis supporting Gaetz's position...

It's pretty wild that those people seem to think for themselves and don't feel the need to check every box when it comes to toeing their preferred candidate's line.

You can't call yourself a principled conservative and support McCarthy. That's the disconnect. They will all change their tune now that DeSantis explained it to them.
BINGO...
Trump endorsed McCarthy and McCarthy has endorsed Trump. What the hell are you guys talking about?
Trump doesn't control how many of us think...a point that continues to be lost on many of you...you are so wound up in Trump-hate that you can't have rational conversations with those who don't agree with every little thing you say...

And I intend to vote DeSantis if he's still viable when the Texas primary rolls around...yet another point many of you miss...

Trump is dead-wrong on McCarthy...Trump was dead-wrong about several aspects of the Covid response...

Trump has been right about other things though, and it's okay to point out his bad and his good...
Well the tone of what you have been saying seems to imply that Trump had a more principled conservative position. I'm glad you see Trump as responsible for McCarthy and dead wrong about him.

Great. I didn't want McCarthy but if we are going to replace him we need a plan because just removing him without one could be an absolute disaster. There are a lot worse options and this is a very dangerous game with a 5 vote majority.

BTW, Trump wanted to remind everyone he is happy that McCarthy said nice things about him because that is what is most important of course.
