It appears Democrats continued to improve on their 2022 performances in several special elections around the nation tonight. Maybe if national Republicans keep calling for national divorce and cutting benefits they can turn this around in time for 2024!

Democrats won special elections in districts they were a lock to win, but it means something because Republicans didn't turnout for an election they had no chance of winning.

In special elections with double digit win expectations, yeah, I think it means nothing. There was little to no reason for turnout from Republicans.

Now, if the GOP nationally had gone all in to try and win those, throwing 10s of millions of dollars at it, and the margin of victory increased, that would mean something. That's not what happened.
