That's a lot of words to avoid just saying "My bad bro. I said you were lying, and I can't find any proof to back that accusation up"

No need to say it because y'all are liars. Now you are trying to hang your hat on the super technicality of this when we all know Democrats have used this scare tactic against Republicans for decades.

It's like we are reliving the SOTU with this exchange which you clearly missed. Entitlements are not getting cut regardless of what a handful of former advisors and Republicans with no power say about it. The Republican powers that be proactively killed any discussion of it.

Which is unfortunate because it needs reform. It will just crater instead.
QUOTE ME. BACK YOUR ACCUSATIONS UP.

The irony here is, you say I hang my hat on a super technicality, yet your accusation that I am lying has literally no basis, not even on a 'super technicality'. Nothing you say can be taken seriously when your primary form of interaction is unfounded ad hominem.

I can't even engage you on the nuance, which is sad because I agree with you on some of it.

Think you need a break from the internet for awhile, remember, anonymous posting is serious business...

Whatever with your obtuseness. Bottom line is that Democrats have historically and repeatedly trotted out the fear porn that Republicans are going to cut entitlements.

The change in power in the House with McCarthy meant it was time for democrats to throw it out there again and McCarthy immediately said entitlement reform was off the table and wasn't even a discussion. He declared this live on Meet The Press.

Despite that, Democrats including Biden still attempted this fear porn and it was put to bed during the live SOTU. That's the point here and why we were calling out OP.

Continuing this theme based on a few outlier Republican comments is irrelevant.

Bernie Sanders pitches Biden a Social Security TAX | Daily Mail Online
Quote:

Sen. Bernie Sanders is pushing President Joe Biden to adopt a Social Security tax plan that would fund the program for decades, but would break the president's pledge not to raise taxes on Americans making less than $400,000.

The Washington Post reported Thursday on a meeting Sanders and Biden had last month in the Oval Office, with the Vermont progressive pitching that the president sign onto Sanders' 'Social Security Expansion Act,' to contrast himself with Republicans who Democrats say are keen to cut benefits.

Right now, a worker's first $160,000 in earnings is taxed for Social Security and that's it.

Sanders' bill would kill that cap and allow all income above $250,000 to be taxed, including investments.

Additionally, it would increase Social Security checks annually by $2,400 - giving seniors an additional $200 per month.

The point is the margins. If Democrats are increasing their margins by double digits you think that means nothing?
Of course it means something. Those poor souls in those districts get the benefits of higher taxes, increased crime, more censorship, less control over their children's education.
Among the latter, under pretence of governing they have divided their nations into two classes, wolves and sheep.”

Ha. I'm shocked the cap on SS hasn't already been lifted. That's an easy political win in the grand scheme of things.

But f* that noise adding it to investments. I'm already paying for Obamacare from my investments.
