Here's what AAA says is causing the rise. PRICES
It is freaking late January.

No One is
taking advantage of the recent milder weather in much of the nation by fueling up and hitting the road.
Forgive me if I trust AAA's expertise over your opinion.

Do we have a thread from that "wbtnumbernumbernumber" guy mentioning how we need to reapply the gas pump stickers he said we needed to remove when gas dropped a few cents?

We are paying more to pay for cleaning all of those off. Of course it's big oil and the mom and pops.

Since most libs lack common sense, then they must rely on the "expertise" of others.

Common sense is what tells you no one is packing the car up in milder January weather and taking a road trip.

But dammit, if AAA speaks one must listen and not question.

AAA analysts love equating gasoline demand with the dumbest crap. Always have. Their numbers are solid and reliable but their analysts are always throwing **** up at the wall. Numbers are usually good though.

Get used to higher prices for all kinds of commodities and natural resources. We have underinvested in the infrastructure for years.

I'd say perception/reality of a shrinking economy has had some negative impact on demand. To some degree it's discretionary spending. Inflation on other non discretionary items like food , power , clothing also leaves less for discretionary gas spending. As someone also mentioned, gasoline supply has also recovered some after the big freeze event .

Diesel on the other hand hasn't moved nearly as much because of steadier demand.

This thread is about rising prices and your entire post is listing reasons why prices would fall; which, again, prices are increasing.

Every time I start to feel temptation overpowering my better judgement about buying a Ram TRX, a gas price bump helps me resist said temptation. Thanks Biden!

Election is over.

The government is no longer using the SPR to keep help the Democrats and is now having to buy oil to refill the SPR so taking oil off the market.
Biden said they would refill it only when it was below $ 70.

Keep going up. I like the job security and bonus payouts when gas prices are high

A constant assault on domestic energy production is the biggest culprit. Let us develop a stable energy supply domestically and price will stabil8.
