Got vaccinated twice plus booster about a year and half ago. I'm going to go outside and - just to check one more time - do several wind sprints in a row. If that goes well, I'll officially check this topic off as something I personally no longer need to care about.

The gold standard for an ED analysis is doing it using age-standardized mortality rates (ASMR) which I did, using narrow age bands

When you compare these with the historic trend, you see that indeed, there is no real major excess deaths in 2022 not explanable by covid

What comes through is that the unexplained excess deaths always come in combination with covid waves in 2020 and 2021 ...

I practiced throughout Covid. I saw thousands of Covid positive patients, saw the young healthy on death bed.

This debate will go on forever without a conclusion.

Do I think the vaccine overall saved lives, probably. Do I think it should have been mandated, definitely not. Do I think we should have shut the country down, I think this was the safest course especially when we had no idea what we were dealing with but looking back was a bad idea.

With this said, I was very reluctant to get the Covid shot. I am healthy, overall fit, run 3 days a week with marathons sprinkled in. I finally got my covid shot not for myself but more so because I could not live with myself if I was somehow responsible for a bad family outcome.

I became short of breath with running right after getting my shot and thought it was due to the typical vaccine reaction. I am never short of breath when I run, my legs will give out way before my cardio gives out. This lasted 6 months and prompted me to get a million dollar work up that was neg. I finally started to get back to normal at about 1 yr.

Can I prove it was the shot, no but I sure believe it. I and my family will never get the booster especially with the mild variant.

I have many antedotal stories of bad outcomes with vaccination. When the variant had a high mobidity/mortality rate, I think you have to pick your poison that is best for yourself. But with the current variant, I think you would be dumb to get the booster.

I trust my immune system far more than experimental medicine. The medical community and pharmaceutical companies placed profits over people. I'll never trust them again.
