Let's see if he is granted the usual whistle blower protections. Did not see a thread on this. NSIAP.

This story needs as much light on it as possible.

FBI hero paying the price for exposing unjust 'persecution' of conservative Americans

Bombshell allegations by FBI Special Agent Steve Friend contained in a whistleblower complaint filed late Wednesday with the Department of Justice inspector general reveal a politicized Washington, DC,

FBI field office cooking the books to exaggerate the threat of domestic terrorism, and using an "overzealous" January 6 investigation to harass conservative Americans and violate their constitutional rights.

Friend, 37, a respected 12-year veteran of the FBI and a SWAT-team member, was suspended Monday, stripped of his gun and badge, and escorted out of the FBI field office in Daytona Beach, Fla., after complaining to his supervisors about the violations.

He was declared absent without leave last month for refusing to participate in SWAT raids that he believed violated FBI policy and were a use of excessive force against Jan. 6 subjects accused of misdemeanor offenses.

This American hero, the father of two small children, has blown up his "dream career" because he could not live with his conscience if he continued to be part of what he sees as the unjust persecution of conservative Americans.

"I have an oath to uphold the Constitution," he told supervisors when he asserted his conscientious objection to joining an Aug. 24 raid on a J6 subject in the Jacksonville, Fla., area. "I have a moral objection and want to be considered a conscientious objector."

Friend, who did not vote for Donald Trump in the 2020 election, said he told his immediate boss twice that he believed the raid, and the investigative process leading up to it, violated FBI policy and the subject's rights under the Sixth Amendment right to a fair trial and Eighth Amendment right against cruel and unusual punishment.

Among Friend's allegations:

---The Washington, DC, field office is "manipulating" FBI case-management protocol and farming out J6 cases to field offices across the country to create the false impression that right-wing domestic violence is a widespread national problem that goes far beyond the "black swan" event of Jan. 6, 2021.

As a result, he was listed as lead agent in cases he had not investigated and which his supervisor had not signed off on, in violation of FBI policy.

---FBI domestic-terrorism cases are being opened on innocent American citizens who were nowhere near the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, based on anonymous tips to an FBI hotline or from Facebook spying on their messages. These tips are turned into investigative tools called "guardians," after the FBI software that collates them.

---The FBI has post-facto designated a grassed area outside the Capitol as a restricted zone, when it was not restricted on Jan. 6, 2021, in order to widen the net of prosecutions.

---The FBI intends to prosecute everyone even peripherally associated with J6 and another wave of J6 subjects are about to be referred to the FBI's Daytona Beach resident agency "for investigation and arrest."

---The Jacksonville area was "inundated" with "guardian" notifications and FBI agents were dispatched to conduct surveillance and knock on people's doors, including people who had not been in Washington, DC, on Jan 6, 2021, or who had been to the Trump rally that day but did not go inside the Capitol.

His top-secret security clearance was suspended last week because he "entered FBI space [his office] and downloaded documents from FBI computer systems [an employee handbook and guidelines for employee disciplinary procedures] to an unauthorized removable flash drive."

Multiple violations
In his whistleblower complaint to DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, obtained by The Post, Friend lays out multiple violations of FBI policy involving J6 investigations in which he was involved.

He says he was removed from active investigations into child sexual exploitation and human trafficking, to work on J6 cases sent from DC. He was told "domestic terrorism was a higher priority" than child pornography. As a result, he believes his child-exploitation investigations were harmed.

Take it you are intending that kind of seriously, because yes, those bullet points encompass some of the very things the NKVD was in charge of. And I like that you mention that phase of Soviet security, because it was at the time still in competition with GRU and other intel agencies and SMERSH.

No kidding. The left flipped out during the Trump impeachment when the identity of the whistleblower was even hinted at. This guys name is out there in the press for all to see and they don't seem to have any problem with it.

Shocking. Another Democrat double standard.

This is the way. We need more Steve Friends to come forward and shed light on the internal politics and tactics employed by the FBI to weaponize the agency. This man is a true Patriot.

More like the RSHA.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

Without a competent and ethical media doing the job they are responsible for, nothing will happen. This will go completely unchecked.

The appointed leadership must all be dismissed by the next president and the agency restructured and decentralized, and it's DC component largely disbursed to other offices, except for what is required to manage specific necessary central functions and report to DOJ.

This type of partisan activity completely undermines the public trust in the institution and renders it useless as law enforcement, leaving it only as a political intimidation force.

Add in that half the population does the "see no evil, hear no evil" routine with information like this and you end up with people like Malibu that somehow still think that the FBI is a neutral and ethical organization as opposed to the a highly politicized enforcement arm of the Democratic party it is.

Hopefully he starts a GoFundMe or someone like Trump just dumps some money on him so that the blackballing getting a job doesn't work if tried.

The reason for that is human nature -- despite Left Dem junk "redefine" science -- - doesn't ever really change. So the same mistakes and foibles are repeated, but take different forms because of what has changed in cultural habits. For example, in all but the worst governments, a Caligula is probably impossible now because someone would do the obvious far sooner than four years. But that you can have a demented ruler unfit for the head of a nation can and has repeated many times since then.

The FBI can't be quite like the NKVD, but they could resemble the Shield of the Marvel Universe and apparently are starting to.

Find any reason to justify firing him then they can go after him for his actions as they can claim he didn't have protections for his actions. Also sends a message to anyone who would corroborate his story from within.

Not only do they not report on it, they would actively participate in a smear campaign against this whistleblower. Wouldn't surprise me if some WaPo or NYT muckraker is right now digging into his background for something to discredit him.

Further they would perpetuate lies about Republicans being anti law enforcement if they even hint at investigating this corruption.

There's another reason agents are getting reassigned and removed from child exploitation and trafficking investigations. Those investigations are going to show that there was a massive increase in those crimes that correspond with the Biden Administration opening the border. It's also going to show that many of the kids that Biden shipped out to "relatives" and foster homes were fronts for child exploitation. DHS doesn't know where most of the kids ended up. FBI investigations would likely find a large number of them.

There was a recent bust in West Texas that involved something like 60 kids. Missing from the news story was the origin of the children but DHS was involved in the bust and was slapping themselves on the back for a job well done. That's a pretty obvious clue that the kids involved were illegals.

Ahhhh-- now it makes sense. The trafficking rings are in power at the top, and were before 2016 and that was another reason for all the really unhinged anti-45 stuff. This really explains a great deal when you connect it also to the money made by maintaining the Drug War. Its interesting the Dems don't listen to their voters desire that end on that issue.
