I don't know about "truth" since there is so much information, conflation, assumptions, prevarication and outright lying going on by so many "experts" on both sides (coupled with both sides being 100%, no doubts, gospel truth convinced of their own absolute correctness), but it is my understanding that:oh no said:

me: well, my older two already had covid, so they have much more effective and lasting natural immunity, so no need. ..and plus, this virus doesn't seem to effect kids much - they don't get really sick.
Lib: WHAT? Kids are getting really sick now. You need to get them vaxxed!! Natural immunity only lasts [don't remember what she said] months and then you get [don't remember what she said] more months for being fully vaxxed and then you get an additional [don't remember what she said] months on top of that when you get the booster. My daughter had covid and she got her booster so she's triple vaxxed!

Either I'm incredibly misinformed about how effective natural immunity is, how ineffective these shots are, and how incredibly harmless this virus is to children... or she is... what are the truths?
- "natural" immunity was at first believed to be shorter-lived than the immunity provided by the vaccine, but since the evidence indicates that "natural" immunity is at least as effective, if not more effective than the vaccine
- there has apparently been an increase in the number of children being hospitalized with covid since the beginning of the summer, but the death rates and other statistical analysis still shows children to be by far the safest cohort to be in, with a death rate that is extraordinarily low and when they do get it, it is much more mild than adults.
But I'm sure several people will be along shortly to tell you that I am dangerously wrong and that "natural" immunity is vastly inferior to that provided by the vaccine, that kids are being hospitalized in unprecedentedly high numbers and that only an idiot would not vaccinate everyone older than a zygote, I am understating the robust and vastly superior immunity provided by "natural" immunity and that not only should children not be vaccinated but that they shouldn't be in close proximity to anyone that has been vaccinated.
