You thought a socialist would ever care about being honest?

His entire philosophy is based on spouting obvious lies in order to manipulate or coerce others into entering de facto slavery.

Is having slavery, but not serfdom, something to be proud? Talk about a meaningless differentiation.

This is what you are reduced to, slaves are okay, as long as there are no serfs in my society. True communist for sure.
Lol, what? I'm not sure why you're struggling so hard with this. Maybe a timeline will help?

1) WaltonAg says Egyptians didn't use currency until very late in the game
2) someone else says "aRe yOu SaYiNg tHeY DiDn'T hAvE sLaVeS"
3) WaltonAg says they didn't have a slave class, because there were complex relations and codes followed
4) You say I say slavery is okay, somehow?

Fascinating. Please paint a clearer picture of the inner machinations of your mind, because I'm not seeing much going on.

5) WaltonAg declines to describe how it is decided who makes what and how much of it to supply societal needs instead offering vapid platitudes about freeing our slave minds.

6) WaltonAg retreats to his tv and rubs one out watching Strelnikov on his train in Dr. Zhivago.

I guess if I had friends with worthless degrees I would push for this crap too.

Actually I would laugh at my friends who would get their degree in that and then complain about how little money they make
It's sad that you don't see the value of history. I've never understood the appeal behind trying to demean and put down other people who are trying to further our understanding in various fields, not just the people I know but history in general. It's just kinda sad to see, makes me feel bad for you.
No one should have to work to survive. Your right to life should not depend solely on your ability to produce capital.

I think it's a worthless degree and I laugh at it. If that's what they want to do with their life that's fine just don't then complain about not having money and/or complain society is screwing them over. Even worse want to change society so they can live what they think is a perfect life.

If they ran up debt to get the degrees they should be forced to pay them back. None of this student loan forgiveness crap.

Cleary noone on F16 wants the system Walton Ag proposes. Walton has not answered Maroon dawns repeated request to describe exactly how his superior system would work.

I have noticed however Walton keeps romanticizing about ancient Egyptians and their, according to Walton, wonderful system. So his system is going to be some sort of monarchy. The ancient Egyptians also had slaves so we must assume Walton likes that aspect. Walton will we be required to worship beetles?
Does everyone get their own ancient Egyptian headwear?
Please let me know the other aspects of which I am unaware. Thanks

There is a government printing money and sending it out to these people so they don't have to work to survive.

Why did you leave that part out?
No one should have to work to survive, as living is a basic human right.
If you are able-bodied, it is a basic human responsibility to take care of yourself.
Hunter-gatherers only worked 15-20hrs a week to hunt and/or gather based on some estimates.

This problem isn't going away. Mass strikes are being planned for Black Friday at the moment and if this level of organization continues then I can't wait to see what kind of fallout happens.

"No business which depends for existence on paying less than living wages to its workers has any right to continue in this country."
Give me a number for a living wage. Stop speaking platitudes and talk in specifics.
There is no one number for a living wage, I've already mentioned that several times. That would be impossible given the wildly varying cost of livings across the US. Rent should not be 60%+ of your take home-pay, and that would have to be addressed before any flat number was floated.

Minimum wage was started as the necessity for a nuclear family of four in a house with two cars. Nothing of that magnitude is necessary or practical at this stage.
BWAHAHAHAHHAHAHA....

The first MW was put in place in 1938. It was $0.25/hr. It had NOTHING to do with a "family of four with two cars". That family concept didn't even come into play for another 20-30 years...

If you're going to troll, do some research...

You have never owned or ran a business have you? All your feel good "we deserve" BS in nauseating. No one deserves or is owed a d*** thing in life. Life is not that difficult. If you want to get ahead and make more than minimum wage or whatever you think is "deserving", you work your A** off for it and make sacrifices.

There is nothing is this country that prevents someone from reaching their potential. That's the great thing about being an American.

If someone isn't happy with their pay they can go to school online or at night
With what money? Scholarships aren't available to everyone, and applications/standardized testing isn't free

they can work a second job
They shouldn't have to, that's the point

, they can start a side business out of their house.
lol

The opportunities are limitless.

Unfortunately a lot of Americans feel entitled and think if they work 40 hours a week they should have a comfortable living.
Again, yes. That's the point.

Then they b**** and moan and make excuses of why they are in the position they're in. They blame their employer and anyone else they can think of while not once do they look inward and fix their own problem for themselves. It's easier for them to blame other people than accept personal responsibility for their own lives.

As for your quote from page one below I'm honestly at a loss for words.
"No one should have to work to survive, as living is a basic human right."
I've kept that quote on and even added an extra line in case people couldn't parse out the first line.

Ok, I'll reply to your comments and give you a little education. Someone apparently failed you along the line.

To your first comment - "With what money". You go out and EARN it! Work your effing A** off to get it! If you want something bad enough you bust A** and go get it. Don't sit in a corner like a little b**** and make excuses for yourself.

Your second comment - "They shouldn't have to" Why not? Are they too good and entitled to work hard to get ahead?

Your third comment - "LOL" - I'm not sure what's funny about someone starting a business at their house. The first business I started was in my garage. Working nights and weekends while working a full time job supporting my family. I did it for 3 years. Then I quit my 9 to 5 and haven't looked back. I can't tell you how many weeks I've worked 80 plus hours to get ahead. Some weeks now I still do. Thats my choice and my decision. I sure as h*ll didn't make excuses and whine and complain. I put my life and my future into my own hands.

The biggest criticism of my position that I think you've rightly identified is my building castles in the cloud vs the realpolitik of the incentives in our electoral politics. It's a very fair criticism that is driving me further away from voting for Democrats outright. Im still very uncomfortable with a burn it all down approach to Welfare as a solution, but thankfully that's usually not the choice offered.
What about a subsistence level UBI and housing? You prevent Biblical times extremes of just withering in streets (not talking about the mentally ill -- that's insoluable by reasoning methods) by having the basics provided for. However, you do not incentivize sloth because the level of living is perhaps barely better than 80's dorm life (not the luxury beach style condos that exist now) or perhaps military billeting.

But this way no one is exposed to the elements or starves. Again not talking about the self-inflicting, which in many ways mentally ill are ----- talking about the poor and `waiting for an opportunity.'

Housing has been tried, its called the projects. I'm skeptical of legit ways to solving that issue. Even as a staunch conservative I think there should be safety nets for some % of the population.

But the "safety nets" are now approaching helping 50% of the population. That isn't a safety net. That is an inefficient and corrupt wealth redistribution scheme.

And by safety net, you mean temporary? I'm OK with temporary safety nets.

But perpetual welfare should not be a thing. If you are on welfare, you should be forced to work. If you have kids in school, then you work during school hours picking up litter, cleaning schools, cleaning city offices, whatever. If made to work hard enough, many would opt to get a job in the private sector.

Ok, I missed this.

So he implied that I was racist because I suggested that those who get welfare must perform some work for the community?
