I called the NICU there and it is not true they will not release babies without a vaccine passport by the parents. They said that in order to visit in the NICU parents must either 1). Have a vaccine passport or 2). Have a negative pcr test in the last 72 hours. Reasonable.

Every nicu I've ever rotated through had cameras watching the scrub station outside the locked unit so they could watch you do it before they let you in.

I'm not worried about covid hurting my healthy baby but it could absolutely be the factor that killed an intubated preemie that can't even eat on their own yet or a baby fighting meningitis. You guys understand that many preemies stop breathing on their own and require stimulants to stay awake enough to breathe?
