During the COVID-19 pandemic in Seattle, an agorophobic tech worker discovers evidence of a violent crime while reviewing a data stream, and is met with resistance and bureaucracy when she tries reporting it to her company. To get involved, she realizes she must face her greatest fear by venturing out of her apartment and into the city streets, which are filled with protestors after the city council passes a law restricting the movements of the homeless population.[

So, NC-17, might be worth the time; PG, don't bother.

Most of her flicks suck, albeit not through any overt fault of her acting IMO. I enjoyed Mad Max without her acting having anything to do with it as well. Soderbergh is pretty hit or miss with me too, although his talent means the failing is probably on my part.

I was just posting hot pics of the lead actress from the referenced film. Clarification that it would take an NC-17 (presumably director's cut) version to entice you to watch Zoe overcome her agoraphobia to report a crime in a Soderbergh flick you haven't seen is the kind of stand that makes a stand. I doubt they are shooting much NC-17 material for this one.

Soderbergh did shoot a flick with porn star Sasha Grey. She had a large body of work that could probably be characterized as NC-17.

If you have Hulu, check out the 1 season series High Fidelity. She was really good in it

I do have it and know the series you are referring to. I liked the movie with Cusack at the time, although it's cringingly self-indulgent watching now. A 5 hour plus 10 episode series flipping the script didn't entice.

However if you think it's better than the movie (I never read the book) and worth the time I'll give it a whirl. It wouldn't be a hard sell to my better half.

It is similar, but I think they are equally good. I think Jack Black makes the movie though. And I love John Cusack. This just has a woman's twist to it.

However, I will admit I have read everything Nick Hornby has written, so I knew the whole story before seeing either one.

Consider me sold then.
I've been looking for something to watch with my better half that she'd dig but that I'd also like.

Gracias.

So is she scared of Covid, homeless people or protesters? And I'm sure they'll be "right wing" protesters not BLM or Antifa. God for bid Hollywood show BLM as being The piece of **** domestic terrorists they are.
Currently a happy listless vessel and deplorable. #FJB TRUMP 2024.
