If this report is true then this means that information about the length of time that someone is immune after getting the disease is worthless.
False positives hurt the information in multiple ways.
First, Someone who falsely tests positive for COVID-19 will likely be less careful about being exposed because they believe that they have antibodies when they don't.
Second, any stories about someone having it twice is suspect, especially if the first case is a symptomatic or minor symptoms. Immunity might be much longer than expected based upon those who claim to have had it twice.
This fraud is irresponsible and might have resulted in unnecessary illnesses and possibly deaths.
