Only if PA is critical. If Trump has over 271 EC votes without PA, then it's over. Much like MI (?) in 2016.
As long as SCOTUS doesn't punt on it as moot after the election under that scenario.

PA Republicans appealed back to SCOTUS.

Good. Make a better argument this time. Supreme Court needs to do their job. This blatant attempt at cheating cannot be allowed to stand.

With early, absentee, and mail-in voting it is not that complicated. There is no excuse to extend the deadline. None.

No excuse to extend the deadline, but there is absolutely no damn excuse to except a non-postmarked ballot after election day. There's no reason a mail-in ballot should not have a postmark unless it was returned in person. If they receive a ballot without a postmark after the deadline, that person is SOL. Their vote shouldn't count.

Just going to cause a lot of people to fill out their ballots after they start seeing the results coming in. Also makes it way easier for shady folks to fill out ballots on election night when they know the numbers they need.

The law in PA is clear. Mail in ballots irrespective of postmarks must be delivered by 8:00 PM election day to be valid. Full stop.

Pretty sure that's following the 1st emergency request today, which would be the 2nd attempt. We're now on 2nd emergency request today (the 3rd attempt).

I could be completely wrong though.

The Supreme Court only blocked the emergency/expediting of the case. They said that if needed they can address the case after the election and that the ballots shall be kept separate in case the court deems them invalid.

The problem here is that all the democrats have to do it not separate them "on accident" and then what really can anyone do about it?

Nothing other than maybe arrest them and we all know that won't happen.

There is a very concrete reason why the Dems want to pack the Court, they want to legislate by judicial fiat. Dems don't want to or write or pass laws that pass constitutional muster because they know they can't. By definition, what they want to do is unconstitutional under most readings. But they can change the Constitution by using SCOTUS.

They aren't final because they are infallible. They are infallible because they are final.- Justice Jackson.
