The use of the word "records" seems intentional. Somewhere it was added to the narrative, and I didn't like it. I think it was intentional by the police. I think they know the story is false and they are trying to get Jussie to admit it.
He has been silent now 3 days, and there are far more questions than answers. When they say "he isn't being investigated, he is a victim," it reads like they are distancing themselves from being accused of calling him a liar and taking a defensive position.

I'm thinking this is exactly the reason. Why else would he leave the rope around his neck? Any normal person would have removed it. If he was on the phone with his manager at the time of the attack, why not turn over the phone records so the police could pinpoint the exact time which would help with any video search from nearby cameras?
