Another poster mentioned the cops showing up to investigate at 2:48am. I don't know what his status was when he posted the Instagram post, but I will risk assuming that it was prior to the attack, and likely prior to doing the Subway trip.
If you assume that he left for Subway immediately after posting that Instagram post, then take into account an approximate 10 minute interaction at Subway (an assumption if he got it to go, give it 20 minutes minimum if he ate there), that would have put him in the attack location at or before 2:00am.
