AOC is excited! Maybe where she is assigned to sit is a punishment to those with whom she sits.

As opined earlier, it's like Junior High again.

The fact that NY based, liberal as hell, Saturday Night Live, is having a field day with her should tell you everything you need to know. She's literally that stupid that fellow libs can't pass on the chance to use her for material.

She thinks they seated her next to her buddies because they knew to seat best buddies together. Hilarious. I got news for you sweetie, they sat you there by seniority and you are your buddies have like 20 days of seniority.

****ing A she's got the political knowledge of a Brazilian tree frog.

This is appallingly ignorant and here's a great article why. Shockingly it got over 200K "likes" which is more than most Trump tweets with his 57 million followers.

Ocasio-Cortez's tweet suggests that she most likely did not know about Schultz's background, which is a literal rags-to-riches story. Business Insider reported:
Quote:

  • Schultz was born on July 19, 1953, in Brooklyn, New York. In an interview with Bloomberg, he said growing up in the projects "loosely described as the other side of the tracks"
  • He experienced poverty at an early age. When Schultz was 7 years old, his father broke his ankle while working as a truck driver picking up and delivering diapers. At the time, his father had no health insurance or worker's compensation, and the family was left with no income.

Schultz worked various low-level jobs including as a bartender, which was Ocasio-Cortez's previous occupation until he landed a sales role at Xerox. Schultz left Xerox for a role at a housewares company called Hammarplast, where he worked his way up to vice president.

While working at Hammarplast, Schultz discovered Starbucks and later convinced Starbucks to hire him as the director of retail operations and marketing. Several years later, Schultz bought Starbucks and eventually went on to become a self-made billionaire. That is the very definition of someone "working their way up."

We implicitly recognize, as women, that the pay gap and the wage gap is an injustice that persists through secrecy and it's an injustice that persists to the present day," Ocasio-Cortez said at a press conference.

"And the only way that we can combat that is through organizing and our personal action ourselves," she said.

The socialist says the "Paycheck Fairness Act" is good because it says "we cannot ask for salary history and pay people depending on their salary history anymore. Anymore," she said to applause.

Isn't not being able to ask the same thing as secrecy?

Is she even speaking actual English?

So this chick today voted to provide full pay to people found to commit sexual harassment in Congress just because Repubs proposed to freeze pay to harassers.

So my prediction is true and she's been in Congress what, less than a month?

She's already transitioned to "I play politics and only pay lip service to idealism" She's a full true totalitarian Dem and it took 3 weeks.

And btw - how many people think any of us in private industry would even have a job if we did that? And we are debating that these folks receive the same pay raise as people who did nothing?

I hate liberals with a passion.

Cue some lib attacking the sources because "reputable" news agencies like MSNBC and CNN refuse to report anything that puts libs in a negative light.

"Our offices are flooded with bigoted calls too - so much so that we have to put energy into searching for actual constituents.

We forward all the threats to Capitol Police to build files."

AOC has instructed those in her office to forward calls to the Capitol Police? Excuse me bigot, while I transfer your call to the Capitol Police. Please hold. If you're at a payphone, please hang up and call back on your personal phone.

The whole idea of confiscatory `fair sharing' is stupid.

You should not receive money you did not work for, or win some individual's indulgence for, or bargain for. No coercion should enter it. Charity should never be forced and named as `sharing'. And it must always be in return for giving back in some way. Even the Bible says work expected to eat.

AOC better play nice with Amazon (Jeff Bezos) or she is going to get primaried by a well financed candidate with glowing endorsements in the WaPo and other major publications.

Primaried might even be the nicest thing that would happen to her.

"This is nuts - even I had no idea about this."

Finally - something she is not an expert on. This is a first!

ETA - She has quickly learned the importance of getting re-elected.

https://www.aol.com/article/news/2019/02/01/ocasio-cortez-raises-over-dollar100000-off-of-primary-threat-against-her/23659004/

"Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) has raised over $100,000 toward her re-election in response to a call to primary her issued by an anonymous House Democrat.

Ocasio-Cortez's re-election campaign put out the call for donations in an email blast and Facebook advertisements after The Hill reported on Tuesday that an anonymous colleague had encouraged the New York congressional delegation to run someone against Ocasio-Cortez.

"You've got numerous council people and state legislators who've been waiting 20 years for that seat," the anonymous lawmaker said. "I'm sure they can find numerous people who want that seat in that district."
Ocasio-Cortez's political operation immediately sought to cast the threat as an effort by the Washington establishment to tamp down on her unabashedly progressive agenda."

"They're plotting a primary challenge because they don't like that we're shaking things up in DC," the campaign wrote in a Facebook ad.

"We need to show how strong our campaign will be when they come after us in 2020," the ad continued.

The sum adds to Ocasio-Cortez's already substantial campaign war chest. The Bronx-based freshman, who represents one of the most Democratic districts in the country, had over $400,000 left over after the general election in November."
